Job description

Job Summary:
Esri is a company focused on creating positive global change through GIS technology. They are seeking a Sr. Marketing Data Strategist who will leverage expertise in marketing data analysis, modeling, governance, and enrichment to improve data quality frameworks and enhance strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities:
• Advanced data analysis and modeling. Design and maintain scalable marketing data models that support segmentation, personalization, prioritization, and performance measurement. Apply advanced analytical techniques to analyze campaign performance, identify trends, and inform targeting, investment, and go‑to‑market decisions.
• Data quality, enrichment & governance. Embed data enrichment logic, validation frameworks, and standardized quality controls to improve completeness, accuracy, and consistency across systems. Establish and operationalize data governance standards, benchmarks, and monitoring processes to ensure long‑term data reliability and enterprise integrity.
• Data visualization, reporting, & data health monitoring. Develop dashboards and visualizations that communicate marketing performance, segmentation effectiveness, and key data health metrics. Advise on reporting architecture and standards to improve transparency, usability, and stakeholder trust in marketing data.
• Data governance, data strategy enablement, & process optimization. Partner with digital marketing, technology, and legal/privacy teams to ensure audience strategies are supported by compliant, standardized, high‑quality data. Identify and resolve systemic data challenges and establish benchmarks to drive repeatable best practices that improve targeting precision and overall data maturity, including data transformations, normalization, and enrichment practices that support long-term sustainability.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 8+ years of experience in marketing data, analytics, data strategy, or related fields
• Strong expertise in data models, segmentation strategy, data quality, governance, and enrichment practices
• Experience partnering with Legal and Privacy teams on data usage, consent, and compliance requirements
• Advanced experience working across CRM, marketing automation platforms, CDPs, and BI tools
• Advanced SQL skills with the ability to analyze and validate complex datasets
• Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive alignment without direct authority
• Strong communication skills with experience presenting strategic recommendations to senior leaders
• Demonstrated ability to design scalable frameworks rather than one-off solutions
• Bachelor’s degree in business analytics, data science, information systems, or a related field
• Occasional travel may be required (up to ~20%); travel needs may vary based on business requirements
• Visa sponsorship not available for this posting. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
Preferred:
• Master’s degree in business analytics, data science, information systems, or a related field
• Experience evaluating and integrating third-party data providers and enrichment services
• Familiarity with data privacy regulations and governance practices in marketing contexts
• Strong storytelling and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to communicate data strategy and impact to executive audiences
