Job Summary

The Data Architect will play a pivotal role in the evolution of CHOC's data architecture and system automation. This role will work to define and build a modern enterprise data architecture that supports the organization's business strategy. This role will architect, design and lead implementation of data models, data flows as well as API driven data services in alignment with Enterprise Architecture standards and guiding principles. This role will have deep, hands-on expertise in data architecture, design and implementation of Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence, MDM, Meta Data management and Web APIs/ Interfaces.

Pay Range

Minimum $121,347 Midpoint $160,826 Maximum $200,283

Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.

Experience

Required: Minimum five (5) years of experience in IT, with at least three (3) years in data modeling, ETL, API integration and data warehouse design and implementation.

Preferred: Eight (8) or more years of experience in IT, with at least five (5) years in data modeling, ETL, API integration and date warehouse design and implementation.

Education

Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field or equivalent industry experience.

Specialized Skills

Required:

  • Data architecture development, ETL, data extracts, data modeling, database design and management
  • Extensive data integration, warehousing and analytics solutions experience. Expert SQL (Microsoft SQL and/or Oracle) experience
  • Highly skilled data modeling in both operational transactional and data warehouse dimension design
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as QlikView. ETL, data transformation, and masking tools experience (Microsoft SSIS, Informatica, etc.)
  • Extensive experience designing and developing RESTful APIs with broad knowledge of web standards to APIs (REST, JSON, SOAP, HTTP, OAuth, SSL, PGP, SAML, etc.)
  • Experience in developing interfaces using middleware such as Oracle SOA, WSO2, MuleSoft, Tibco, Azure Data Factory. Understanding of Cloud-based architectures (AWS, Azure, etc.)
