## Data Platform EngineerApplylocations: Minneapolis, MNtime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Yesterdayjob requisition id: JR110753Apogee Services Inc.**Position Summary**Apogee’s Data, Analytics & Integration organization focuses on implementing processes and solutions for Data Governance, Master Data Management, Data Analytics and Integration.This Data Platform Engineer will fill a critical role in enhancing and supporting the Data Analytics environment for prioritized Apogee Data Domains; educating our IT & Business Partners; implementing and supporting future Data Integration and Data Analytics solutions; and consulting on data-related projects from the data engineering perspective across the organization.**Responsibilities*** Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust data pipeline architectures, ensuring data quality and consistency across multiple data sources* Collaborate with the Business Intelligence team and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions* Help implement best practices for data governance, data security, and data privacy, ensuring compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards* Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to support data ingestion, transformation, and integration from various sources, including APIs, databases, and external data providers* Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal downtime* Organize and monitor testing, training, documentation, and sign offs related to data platforms* Configure and implement data management and analytic platform changes* Document data pipeline architectures, workflows, and procedures for internal and external stakeholders* Work closely with cross-functional teams to support the integration of data-driven insights into business processes and decision-making* Other duties as assigned**Education & Experience Requirements**Required:* Bachelor's in computer science, Engineering, or a related field* 3-5 years of experience in data engineering, with a proven track record of designing and implementing complex data pipelines* Strong expertise in SQL, data modeling, and data warehousing concepts* Proficient in the Microsoft Azure framework (e.g., Analysis Service, Data Factory, ...)* Experience with the Microsoft Power BI data visualization tool* Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders* A strong desire to stay up to date with the latest industry trends and advancements in data engineeringPreferred:* Master’s degree* Experience with Snowflake Data Cloud and Databricks**Work Environment**This position operates in a hybrid work environment, with a combination of on-site office presence and remote work.
