Job description

Job Summary:
Sandisk is a leader in data solutions with a rich history in Flash and advanced memory technologies. They are seeking a Director for the Consumer Data Platform & Analytics Enablement to drive consumer-centric decision-making and manage the Consumer data domain within their corporate Lakehouse architecture.
Responsibilities:
• Work with the corporate Enterprise Data & AI and Consumer Data Teams to own the Consumer division’s curated (“silver” and “gold”) data layers, including harmonization of external market data with corporate sources, in alignment with enterprise lakehouse and governance standards.
• Drive data “AI-readiness” to help future-proof the data ecosystem, inclusive of metadata curation and documentation of business logic.
• Develop and operate the Consumer BI ecosystem on the corporate lakehouse platform (e.g., PowerBI, Databricks), enabling scalable self-service by analysts and business users.
• Enable integration of AI into business reporting and underlying analysis, in order to build early warning systems and to identify underlying business trends worthy of future study.
• Partner with Consumer division leadership to ensure downstream analysis applications and BI stack are delivering reliable, efficient, and valuable service.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 10+ years relevant experience (consumer tech, consumer electronics, or CPG industries preferred)
• Demonstrated history of business impact through data ecosystem development, data engineering, or Development/Operations (DevOps) organization leadership
• Data modeling & harmonization experience, including with vendors with varying product/timing hierarchies
• Ability to deliver strong data transformation results inside corporate guardrails (e.g., security and access, governance, intake, and prioritization)
• Experience designing AI-ready data platforms, including semantic modeling, metadata management, and governed self-service analytics
• Direct AI implementation experience is a plus but not required for the role
