To thrive as a Data Pharmacist, you need a solid background in pharmacy, strong analytical skills, and experience with data management, usually supported by a PharmD and relevant data analysis coursework or certification. Familiarity with pharmacy information systems, data analytics tools (such as SQL, Python, or Tableau), and electronic health records is typically required. Will healthcare data analyst be replaced by AI?

Healthcare data analysts, including those working with pharmacy data, analyze complex datasets to support clinical and operational decisions. Therefore, AI is a tool that complements rather than replaces data analysts in healthcare settings.
