Job DescriptionOverview

This role is part of AtkinsRealis Architecture & Design Canada Inc., bringing together expertise in architectural design and project delivery across Canada.

We are seeking an ArchitectureOperations Manager to help grow an architectural and master planning practice. This role is suited to a high-caliber professional with strong operational discipline, market credibility, and the ability to build lasting client relationships. The role is central to office leadership, staff development, client growth, and proposal delivery. The successful candidate will bring strong institutional project experience, a proven Ontario track record, and the confidence to lead highly complex projects with multidisciplinary teams.

Your role
  • Lead office operations, staff coordination, and team performance.

  • Build a strong, professional, and collaborative practice culture.

  • Develop client relationships, identify opportunities, and represent the practice in the market.

  • Lead RFP responses, proposals, interviews, and pursuit strategies.

  • Support strategic planning, operational improvement, and resource alignment.

  • Mentor staff and serve as a visible leader and role model.

About you
  • A degree in Architecture and registration as an Architect with the OAA is required.

  • 15+ years of experience as a registered architect leading institutional and other highly complex projects, practice operations, or business development.

  • Experience leading office operations, staff management, and multidisciplinary team coordination in a professional services environment.

  • Strong institutional project experience, with a proven history in Ontario working with clients and contractors on highly complex projects; healthcare and life sciences experience is an asset.

  • Proven success in client development, RFP responses, proposals, and interviews.

  • A strong professional attitude, with the ability to mentor staff and lead with credibility.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.

  • The judgement, presence, and professional maturity to help shape and grow a respected new practice.

Additional information

Expected compensation for this role is between $120,000 - $145,000 annually. Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into account in our offers.
