Job description

Overview - Manager – Data Center Deployment Operations
We're hiring a Manager to lead delivery of backbone and optical fiber deployment projects across a multi-site hyperscale data center portfolio. You'll own the customer relationship end to end, coordinate crews across sites, and make sure every terminal deployment, transponder install, and optical migration lands on time, within SLA, and Right First Time.

This is a leadership role, not a hands-on installation position — but you'll need real fluency in fiber optic Layer 1 deployment and Division 27 standards to lead credibly and hold your own with DCPMs and network engineers. You'll manage a team of Installation Foremen/Technical Site Leads and be their escalation point for anything that needs a bigger call.

What you'll do:

  • Own the customer relationship and lead program-level reviews with DCPMs and engineering leads
  • Allocate Site Leads and crews across sites based on project priority and SLA risk
  • Drive Right First Time quality and SLA performance across your data center portfolio
  • Coach and develop your Site Leads

What we're looking for:

  • 15+ years in data center infrastructure, fiber optic, or structured cabling deployment, with 5+ years leading people or programs
  • Strong knowledge of Layer 1 fiber/copper systems, optical transport, cross-connects, and Division 27 standards
  • Track record managing multi-site data center delivery teams and hyperscale customer relationships
  • Executive-level communication skills

Preferred: hyperscale colocation experience and Strong Networking skills with certifications.

Location: New Albany, Ohio

Tenure: 6 Months & Extendable
