Job Description:
At Regions, the Intern works on department assignments while learning more about the financial services industry. As an intern, you will experience Regions' values while receiving job skills and training, personal development, and networking opportunities. Regions offers college internship opportunities within various departments.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Receives exposure to all basic functions of assigned group within the financial industry
  • Exposed to a wide range of tasks including research, administrative and correspondence work and attend meetings
  • Provides assistance in projects
  • Gains valuable insight within a variety of functions while strengthening core skills and knowledge needed to launch a successful career
  • Responsibilities will vary by internship

This position requires the tracking of time and is eligible for overtime hours worked in excess of 40 per week under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Requirements
  • A college student who has interest in developing technical skills and gaining work experience
  • Ability to work 40 hours a week for 10 weeks
  • Regions will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position. Applicants for this position must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

The Regions Wealth Management Summer Intern Program offers internship opportunities to college students to intern across Regions Wealth Management, including Private Wealth and Asset Management, Institutional Services, Regions Investment Services, Wealth Management Strategy and Effectiveness, Wealth Shared Services and Centralized Trading & Client Solutions. Summer Interns will gain hands-on experience and exposure to various wealth management functions. Functions may include private and institutional wealth client service and administration, asset management portfolio management, research, trading, and operations, natural resources administration and wealth planning. Summer Interns will operate as key team members supporting both internal and/or external client initiatives.
Summer Interns will be assigned to a specific Private Wealth and Asset Management, Institutional Services, Regions Investment Services, Wealth Man
agement Strategy and Effectiveness, Wealth Shared Services or Centralized Trading & Client Solutions team located primarily in Atlanta, Birmingham, Jacksonville, St. Louis, or Little Rock. Interns will also participate in centralized training sessions giving opportunities to interact with senior members to gain exposure to the various groups within Regions Wealth Management and the broader bank.
The Summer Intern position will be paid and last for approximately 10 weeks. Summer Interns demonstrating Regions values, work ethic and leadership will be given preference in consideration of fulltime Wealth Management positions they qualify for.
Responsibilities may include:
  • Assisting in execution of both technical and non-technical initiatives that may span the Wealth Management group
  • Supporting a portion of specific strategic projects by helping to formulate and solve key business issues and opportunities
  • Assisting in preparation of marketing presentations, white papers, factsheets, and flyers including content development, data updates, design and deployment
  • Providing day to day operational support to management in response to timely firm level or client driven events, including client reporting and analytics.
  • Participating in client discussions regarding asset management and investments, financial planning, insurance, lending, tax and accounting and trust and estate planning
  • Assisting with standard transactional needs of the client base, including processing deposits, payments, transfers or other routine transactions
  • Supporting one or more research teams with due diligence, selection, evaluation or overall process improvements surrounding marketable securities or investment managers

Additional Requirements
  • Expected graduation of Fall 2027 or Spring 2028, majoring in finance, economics, investment management, marketing, data analytics, management information systems, or a related business major

  • Preferred minimum 3.0 GPA
