Marketplace Operations Associate

Washington, DC

Job description

Who we are:
Nitra's mission is to build a more efficient healthcare system and the technology that makes it possible.  Our goal is to provide an ecosystem of fintech and software solutions that help doctors better manage their practices, so they can have time back to focus on what matters to them most.

We operate with urgency, intensity, and ambition. The bar is high because the opportunity is massive. We expect excellence, ownership, and intellectual rigor from every team member. We move fast, make bold decisions, and hold ourselves accountable to results. At the same time, we believe great companies are built on trust and respect. Every voice matters. Every contribution counts. When we win, we win together.

We are scaling rapidly and on a clear trajectory toward becoming a unicorn this year - and beyond. Our growth is not accidental; it's the result of disciplined execution, relentless focus, and a team that refuses to settle. We are building a category-defining company, and we're looking for people who want to do the most meaningful work of their careers.

If you want comfort, this isn't the place.
If you want impact, ownership, and the chance to help build a generational fintech company, welcome.

Nitra was created by unicorn founders who have successfully scaled to thousands of customers and exited $1B+ public offerings. They are joined by an ambitious and experienced team from American Express, Citi, PayPal, Capsule, Plaid, Bloomberg, Meta, Facebook, and Mastercard. The team is backed by some of the world's leading VCs (Andreessen Horowitz, NEA, etc.) and is supported by an expert group of advisors including the cofounders of Square and Xendit, executives from Intuit, former Governors, White House senior staffers, and a co-founder of CityMD.
We're looking for:

You would be joining Nitra at a critical stage of growth as we scale through Series B and build the foundation for the next phase of the company.

We're looking for a Marketplace Operations Associate to help build and scale the operating engine behind NitraMart, Nitra's healthcare marketplace. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, has exceptional attention to detail, and enjoys solving complex operational problems.

You will work cross-functionally to manage day-to-day marketplace operations, resolve issues across the customer and order journey, improve workflows, and use data to identify opportunities to make NitraMart more efficient and reliable. Your work will help build the processes and systems needed to scale the marketplace to thousands of healthcare practices.

The ideal candidate brings 2-4 years of experience in marketplace, business, e-commerce, logistics, or customer operations, ideally at a high-growth technology company. Experience with order flows, vendors, product catalogs, fulfillment, or procurement is a strong plus.

You are proactive, analytical, highly organized, and comfortable operating through ambiguity. You take ownership, move quickly from identifying problems to resolving them, and know when to solve something manually versus building a more scalable solution.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Own day-to-day NitraMart operations
    • Manage marketplace workflows across orders, vendors, products, fulfillment, and customer issues.
    • Identify operational problems and drive them through resolution quickly and accurately.
  • Deliver a great marketplace experience
    • Partner with Customer Success, Product, and other teams to improve the end-to-end customer journey.
    • Monitor marketplace performance and identify opportunities to improve utilization, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Turn data into action
    • Track marketplace KPIs, investigate trends and root causes, and translate insights into clear actions.
    • Build reporting and analyses that improve visibility into marketplace performance.
  • Build scalable processes
    • Improve workflows, documentation, reporting, and internal tools as NitraMart grows.
    • Identify repetitive manual work and partner with Product and Engineering on opportunities for automation.
  • Support marketplace growth
    • Help launch new vendors, products, and marketplace capabilities.
    • Work cross-functionally to execute initiatives that expand and improve NitraMart
You have:
  • 2-4 years of experience in marketplace operations, business operations, e-commerce, logistics, customer operations, or a similarly operational role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with comfort working with data and spreadsheets; SQL experience is a plus.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple operational workstreams.
  • High ownership, urgency, and comfort operating in a fast-moving startup environment.
  • A builder mindset-you identify problems, develop practical solutions, and drive them through completion.
  • Strong communication skills and experience working cross-functionally.
  • Experience with B2B marketplaces, e-commerce, procurement, vendors, fulfillment, healthcare, or SMB customers is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
We offer:
  • Equity - Everyone at Nitra is an owner. When the company wins, you win
  • Competitive Salary - You're the best of the best, and your salary will reflect your experience and reward your contributions to Nitra
  • Health Care - Your health comes first. We offer comprehensive health, vision, and dental insurance options.
  • Retirement Benefits - Your financial stability matters to us so we provide a generous employer 401K match
  • Nitra maintains a hybrid work policy, with team members working from the office four days per week and Wednesdays designated as a work-from-home day.
Nitra values diversity. We are committed to equal opportunities and creating an inclusive environment for all our employees. We welcome applicants regardless of ethnicity, national origin or ancestry, gender, race, religious beliefs, disability, sex, sexual orientation, age, veteran status, genetic information, citizenship, or any other characteristic protected by law.
