Job description

POSITION: Senior Operations Analyst
COMPENSATION:
Pursuant to Colorado regulations, if this job is performed in Colorado, the salary range is $85,700 - $100,000 plus bonus potential. Eligible to participate in the company benefits plan. DIRECT REPORT: Vice President, Operations
SUMMARY
A Senior Operations Analyst is responsible for leading an Operations Analyst team that supports the operations of Cardinal Group's managed portfolio. This role focuses on a variety of strategic functions, including but not limited to project management, metrics reporting, quality control and compliance , optimizing management of operational tools, resources, and procedures, leading the development of Cardinal's business intelligence platform and the development and growth of on-site team members. This role requires a proactive and strategic individual capable of independent decision-making and mentorship.
RESPONSIBILITIES (Including but not limited to)
  • Lead the Operations Analyst team, ensuring tasks are completed, projects are prioritized, and there is consistency in the delivery and execution of all duties.
  • Collaborate with the DOO and VP of Operations to proactively identify and address training and development opportunities for team members.
  • Create comprehensive training roadmaps, compile advanced resources, and mentor team members on professional growth and upskilling.
  • Provide high-level, strategic support to the Cardinal Group Operations teams in the areas outlined above in the Summary.
  • Serve as a direct resource and mentor for Community Managers, offering advanced training, guidance, and comprehensive support.
  • Act as a key liaison between HQ and escalated Resident issues, providing strategic resolution and communication.
  • Collaborate extensively with the Training and Development team to design, implement, and refine new training content across all areas of the business, ensuring ongoing support and resources for team member success and career progression.
  • Work in conjunction with the PM to proactively identify and address training and development opportunities for team members. This will include curating comprehensive training roadmaps, compiling advanced resources, and directly mentoring team members on their upskilling and professional growth.
  • Oversee the production of complex, company-wide reporting, including (but not limited to) Accounts Receivable, Portfolio Performance Metrics, community attributes, and Cardinal Companies' product penetration, providing insightful analysis and strategic recommendations.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of portfolio metrics to identify significant operating trends and opportunities for maximizing revenue from all existing and future revenue streams at Cardinal Group Companies, presenting actionable insights to leadership.
  • Implement and manage advanced quality-control functions to ensure rigorous compliance with Cardinal Group's operational schedules and best practices as it relates to turnover, annual planning, and other critical areas as assigned.
  • Proactively enhance reporting metrics and develop sophisticated visuals for the Operations Team that optimize the resident experience by highlighting critical trends requiring strategic resource allocation and process improvements.
  • Demonstrate exceptional flexibility and readiness to strategically tackle any tasks as assigned by the reporting DOO or VP of Operations to serve the PM team, often involving complex problem-solving and independent execution.
  • Provide comprehensive support and oversight to teams when the PM is Out of Office or traveling, assuming a leadership role.
  • Collaborate directly with the data team to evaluate the integrity and effectiveness of data, and to strategically identify how and which metrics are being reported to drive optimal performance and business intelligence.
  • Actively participate in and lead Cardinal U training as required, serving as a prominent champion of the Cardinal Culture and core values.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5-7 years of progressive industry experience in finance, operations, and systems, with a proven track record of leadership or senior-level responsibilities.
  • Exceptional time management, organizational, and leadership skills, coupled with a highly professional demeanor.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet strict deadlines, manage multiple priorities, and delegate effectively.
  • Must possess SUPERIOR analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.
  • Advanced problem-solving abilities and a proven capacity for innovative, out-of-the-box thinking.
  • Ability to travel a minimum of 6-10 weeks per year, including potentially extended stays.
  • Superior written and verbal communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills required, with experience presenting to senior leadership.
  • Strong customer service focus (i.e., consistently generating accurate and timely results, and effectively communicating with team members, co-workers, and management).
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree or relevant certifications preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to embody and promote the Cardinal Culture and Cardinal's Core Values every day, serving as a role model for others.

Routine local travel is required to attend training classes, client visits, or other situations necessary for the accomplishment of some or all of the daily responsibilities of this position. Overnight travel required to attend company functions, training, property visits, and other situations necessary for the accomplishment of special projects that may be assigned from time to time.
