As aย Seniorย Manager in Data, Analytics and Automation, you will be a part of our Technology Consulting (Data, Analytics and Automation) practice within KPMG. This is a worldwide network of professionals who collaborateย on a daily basisย to create value from data. Enterprise Data Management integrates and is the connecting link with other data focused advisory services including Business Intelligence, Advanced Analytics, Digital Transformation, Enterprise Solutions and Data Security. The successful candidate will leadย data modernization strategy and transformation engagements, helping organizations define how data is governed, managed, andย leveragedย as a strategic asset.ย 

This role focuses onย strategy, design, and advisory. You will work closely with executive stakeholders to define data visions, operating models, and governance frameworks that enable scalable and sustainable data capabilities.ย 


What you will do
  • Lead the development of enterpriseย data strategies, roadmaps, and transformation plansย ย 
  • Define and designย data operating modelsย (e.g., federated, domain-based, data product-oriented)ย ย 
  • Establishย data governance frameworks, including ownership models, stewardship structures, and decision rightsย ย 
  • Designย data management capabilitiesย including metadata, lineage, data quality, and master data managementย ย 
  • Advise onย data platform modernizationย (e.g., Databricks, cloud ecosystems) at a strategic and architectural levelย ย 
  • Facilitate executive workshops to align onย data vision, priorities, and investment casesย ย 
  • Defineย data product strategiesย and support domain-oriented data ownership modelsย ย 
  • Ensure alignment betweenย businessย objectivesย and data capabilitiesย ย 
  • Provide thought leadership onย regulatory and risk considerationsย (e.g., privacy, financial reporting, data controls)ย ย 
  • Lead stakeholder engagement and communicate complex data concepts to business and technical audiencesย ย 
  • Support the development of newย data advisory offerings and go-to-market strategiesย ย 
  • Mentor and develop team members across data strategy, governance, and transformationย 

What you bring to the role
  • University degree in computer science, information management, business administration, or a related fieldย ย 
  • 10+ years of experience in data strategy, data governance, or enterprise data managementย in a consulting roleย 
  • Proven experience leadingย data transformation or modernization initiativesย ย 
  • Strong understanding ofย data governance frameworks, operating models, and data management practicesย ย 
  • Experience advising on modern data platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, cloud ecosystems) at a conceptual levelย ย 
  • Strong ability to engage and influenceย senior stakeholders and executivesย ย 
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data concepts into business valueย ย 
  • Experience in financial services or insurance is considered an assetย ย 
  • Familiarity with regulatory environments (e.g., data privacy, financial reporting) is considered an assetย 
  • DCAM or DAMA certification is considered an assetย 

KPMG Ontario Region Pay Range Information

The expected base salary range for this position is $147,000 to $192,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicantโ€™s base salary within this range is based on the individualโ€™s location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
