--

As a Manager and Senior Architect on our Data Modernization & Analytics team within the AI & Data practice, you own the architecture and delivery quality of Deloitte's most complex master data and data engineering engagements. You are the person client leadership calls when the design is contested, the vendor lands are shifting, or the program needs a decisive hand at the tiller.

What will your typical day look like?

In this role, you will:

  • Own end-to-end MDM, RDM and data integration architectures across multiple domains - Party (customer, member, employee), Product, Location, Asset, Reference - and across regulated industries including Financial Services, Public Sector, Energy, Life Sciences and Consumer.
  • Lead 20+ person client and Deloitte teams through the full engagement lifecycle: diagnostic, target-state design, roadmap, build, cutover, hypercare and steady-state operate.
  • Serve as trusted architecture advisor to CDOs, CIOs, Chief Data Architects and Enterprise Architecture Boards; translate business strategy into governed reference architectures and defensible platform decisions.
  • Own architectural quality gates on multi-workstream programs - domain model governance, matching and survivorship strategy, event-driven vs. batch trade-offs, HA/DR posture, data residency, PII tokenization, observability, and cost-to-serve.
  • Set delivery standards for match/merge tuning, stewardship workflow design, data quality frameworks, publication SLAs and steward operating models.
  • Author enterprise-grade points of view, reference architectures, whitepapers and accelerators that scale beyond a single engagement and become firm IP.
  • Lead pursuit teams for MDM and Data Modernization opportunities - shape the win theme, author the technical response, orally defend the proposal, and mobilize the team on award.
  • Build and mentor a bench of MDM Solution Architects, Senior Consultants and Consultants; own performance conversations, capability planning and career trajectory.
  • Represent Deloitte in the market - speaking engagements, vendor advisory boards, industry councils, and university recruiting.
About the team

AI & Data is Deloitte's Artificial Intelligence practice and one of the fastest-growing in the firm - a collaborative team of strategists, architects, engineers and operators who guide clients through AI-driven transformation with disciplined focus on business outcomes.

Our Data Modernization & Analytics team designs and implements the data architectures - cloud, on-premise, hybrid - that make trustworthy AI & Data foundation possible. As a Manager and Senior Architect, you will help set the direction for the MDM and Data Engineering discipline, contributing to national capability plans, alliance strategy (Informatica, TIBCO, Reltio, Ataccama, Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft, AWS, Google) and to how we build the next generation of practitioners.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

You are someone with:

  • 12+ years of hands-on experience delivering multi-domain Master Data Management, Reference Data Management, Data Quality and Data Governance solutions at scale, including at least three full-lifecycle programs as lead architect on Party, Product or multi-domain MDM.
  • Deep architectural fluency across at least three of: Informatica MDM (C360/B360, IDMC MDM), TIBCO EBX/ONEBX, Reltio, Ataccama, Stibo STEP, SAP MDG, Semarchy - with a defensible point of view on when each fits and where each breaks.
  • 8+ years designing enterprise data integration and streaming architectures using Informatica IDMC/IICS, Confluent Kafka, MuleSoft, IBM DataStage, SAP Data Services, and cloud-native platforms - Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, GCP Dataflow / BigQuery.
  • Fluency across modern data architecture patterns - data mesh, data products, data fabric, event-driven ingestion, CQRS, Kappa/Lambda, medallion, data contracts, reverse ETL - and the judgment to know when to reach for each.
  • Track record designing and defending architectures under regulatory scrutiny: data residency, PII / PHI protection, tokenization, GDPR, PIPEDA (Quebec Law 25), OSFI B-13, HIPAA - and privacy-by-design principles embedded in the model, not bolted on.
  • Match, merge and survivorship design depth: rule-based, probabilistic and ML-assisted; steward workflow governance; suspect queue economics; golden record integrity across multi-source ingestion.
  • Executive presence: proven ability to lead client working sessions with CDOs, CIOs, Chief Data Architects and VPs of Data, and to make architectural trade-offs land with non-technical steering committees.
  • People leadership: 5+ years managing consultants and architects, including performance management, coaching and capability planning; DAMA-DMBoK, TOGAF, SAFe or equivalent framework fluency.
  • Pursuit leadership: authored winning proposals, led oral defenses, shaped statements of work, and mobilized delivery teams within days of award.
  • Bilingual (English and French) is a strong asset, especially for Quebec-based clients and pursuits.
  • Completed Bachelor's Degree (Master's preferred) in Computer Science, Information Management, Analytics or a related quantitative field.
  • Cloud architecture certifications strongly desired: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, GCP Professional Cloud Architect, Snowflake SnowPro Advanced, Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional; MDM vendor certifications on at least two of Informatica, TIBCO, Reltio, Ataccama.
  • Quebec Locations: Bilingualism in French and English is required for this position due to the nature of the role having interactions with National & Global clients and project teams.
