SAP Solution Architect, L7 / L6 - Mid Market

Location: Remote

You Are:

Serve as a Solution Architect for SAP opportunities within mid-sized clients. Lead solutioning for SAP implementations, application development, data migration, governance, managed services, or infrastructure support. Partner with sales, delivery, technical and client teams to design scalable SAP solutions that drive measurable business outcomes. Apply a Forward Deployment Engineering (FDE) mindset to rapidly translate business challenges into executable solutions, prototypes, and transformation roadmaps.

Key Responsibilities:

Solution Architecture & Deal Shaping

  • Design SAP solutions aligned to client requirements, business objectives, and industry best practices.
  • Lead solution planning, estimation, staffing, pricing inputs, and proposal development.
  • Support and lead RFP / RFI responses and complex sales pursuits.
  • Develop implementation approaches, operating models, and transformation roadmaps.
  • Collaborate with sales, architects, technical and delivery teams to create scalable, deliverable solutions.

Client Advisory

  • Build trusted advisor relationships with business and technology stakeholders.
  • Facilitate discovery workshops, design-thinking sessions, and value realization discussions.
  • Advise clients on SAP S/4HANA, SAP Cloud ERP Public Edition, SAP Cloud ERP Private Edition, RISE with SAP Methodology / Journey, SAP Business AI, Generative AI, Data & Analytics, Automation, and SAP BTP.
  • Communicate business value, modernization opportunities, and transformation outcomes.

Engineering & Innovation

  • Apply structured problem-solving, rapid prototyping, and proof-of-concept approaches.
  • Create reusable accelerators, reference architectures, and automation assets.
  • Evaluate emerging SAP, cloud, AI, data, and integration technologies.
  • Drive continuous improvement in solution design, estimation, delivery, and support models.

Leadership

  • Support client, sales, and industry events.
  • Mentor solution architects and contribute to capability development.
  • Develop thought leadership, innovation assets, and best practices.
  • Maintain relevant SAP and cloud certifications.

Travel may be required for this role. The amount of travel will vary from 0 to 100% depending on business need and client requirements.

Here's What You Need:

  • Minimum of 5 years of SAP experience, including SAP S/4HANA, with strong functional and integration exposure.

  • Minimum of 5 years of solution planning, presales, and deal-shaping experience, including RFPs, estimation, staffing, pricing, and executive presentations.

  • Minimum 5 years of Industry experience in any of the following sectors: Public Sector, Manufacturing, Consumer Goods, Life Sciences, High Tech, Chemicals, Industrial Equipment, or related sectors.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud transformation or cloud implementation programs.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience. (If Associate's Degree, must have minimum 6 years work experience)

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience leading workshops, discovery sessions, and solution design activities including ability to convert business requirements into executable architecture and technical solutions.

  • Strong understanding of end-to-end SAP processes and cross-module integration.

  • Knowledge of SAP Activate, SAP Best Practices, and Clean Core principles.

  • Experience with SAP BTP, Integration Suite, Extension Suite, SAP Build, and SAP Business AI.

  • Strong communication, storytelling, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills.

  • Excellent analytical, estimation, and solution-planning capabilities.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience in large SAP transformation programs and presales.

  • Value-based selling and business case development expertise.

  • Background in Forward Deployment Engineering, Solution Engineering, or Innovation Architecture.

  • Knowledge of SAP Joule, SAP AI Foundation, Machine Learning, Generative AI, Agile, and DevOps.

  • Contributions to accelerators, reusable frameworks, thought leadership, or innovation initiatives.
