Job description

Join the ECI Group's Professional Technical Services Network as a contract IT Project Manager.  This is a Houston based contract role with an anticipated 4-month duration with an estimated start date of Sept 14, 2026.  Note: You must be a US Citizen or Permanent US Resident to qualify for this position. 
About the Role
  • Agree and deliver the Crude Data Exchange (CDE) Phase 2 programme to agreed time, cost, quality, risk and benefit objectives within Shell's standards and controls framework.
  • Lead delivery of the Azure Databricks-based data platform, including ODS, curated data views, reporting and data product workstreams.
  • Manage migration and modernisation of legacy crude trading data assets from the WONA Data Warehouse to the strategic cloud platform.
  • Proactively analyse risks, dependencies and variances impacting programme delivery, particularly across business, architecture, engineering and vendor teams.
  • Engage senior stakeholders across Crude Trading, Operations, Risk, Finance and Technology to align priorities and deliver business outcomes.
  • Develop and execute delivery, change and engagement plans to support adoption of new data capabilities and reporting solutions.
  • Mobilise and lead multidisciplinary teams comprising Shell staff, delivery partners and vendors across multiple locations.
  • Ensure alignment between business requirements, ETRM data domains, architecture standards and technical delivery.
  • Manage programme governance, financials, RAID, scope, resourcing and benefits realisation.
  • Ensure delivered capabilities are operationally supportable and provide measurable business value to Crude Trading.
Mandatory Skills
  • Programme and project delivery up to $10m+ budget and teams of 50+ resources. Extensive experience in Crude & Products Trading environments.
  • Strong knowledge of ETRM platforms and trading data domains (e.g. trades, risk, positions, P&L, settlements and market data).
  • Proven delivery experience of Databricks and Azure cloud-based data platforms.
  • Experience leading enterprise data migration, data warehouse modernisation and cloud transformation programmes.
  • Strong senior stakeholder management across business and technology organisations.
  • Agile programme delivery across multiple engineering and data teams.
  • Experience defining programme scope, roadmap, dependencies and business outcomes. Leadership, communication, resilience and value delivery mindset.
  • API development using Python as OOP
