Position Summary

The Data Migration Developer will support the integration program by designing, developing, and executing automated data conversion and migration solutions. This role is primarily focused on Passenger Service System migration activities, including data analysis, mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation between legacy and target platforms.

Working closely with business, IT, integration, and vendor teams, the developer will create repeatable migration processes, conversion utilities, and validation tools that enable accurate, traceable, and efficient movement of critical airline data. Additional work may extend to airline operational platforms such as crew, maintenance, flight operations, loyalty, and other enterprise systems.

  • Investigate and resolve migration defects, exceptions, and discrepancies.
  • Support testing activities, including mock conversions and user acceptance testing.
Integration and Cutover Support
  • Participate in migration planning, rehearsals, and production cutover activities.
  • Collaborate with application teams, vendors, and project stakeholders to resolve data issues.
  • Support documentation, runbooks, and migration readiness reviews.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in data migration, database development, ETL, or systems integration.
  • Advanced SQL and Microsoft SQL Server development experience.
  • Strong experience with T-SQL, stored procedures, views, functions, query optimization, data modeling, and performance tuning.
  • Experience developing ETL or ELT solutions and data transformation processes.
  • Experience with SQL Server Integration Services or comparable ETL tooling.
  • Experience developing automation using SQL, PowerShell, Python, or similar technologies.
  • Strong understanding of data mapping, data quality, validation, and reconciliation techniques.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, verbal communication, and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with airline technology platforms and airline data models.
  • Experience supporting Passenger Service Systems, preferably Navitaire New Skies or a similar reservation platform.
  • Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, or large-scale enterprise integration programs.
  • Experience migrating reservation, customer, loyalty, inventory, fare, ancillary, and operational data.
  • Experience with Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, MongoDB, REST APIs, or Azure DevOps.
  • Familiarity with airline operational systems such as maintenance, crew scheduling, flight operations, and loyalty platforms.
