Position Overview
The State of Arizona is seeking an experienced Salesforce Business Analyst to collaborate with business and IT teams on Salesforce-related requirements, enhancements, configuration, testing, and process improvements. The candidate will serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams while supporting Salesforce projects, documentation, user training, and change management.
Key Responsibilities
  • Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements related to Salesforce. 
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications and collaborate with developers on scalable solutions. 
  • Act as a liaison between IT and business stakeholders. 
  • Perform gap analysis and identify process improvement opportunities using Salesforce capabilities. 
  • Support configuration and testing of Salesforce objects, workflows, validation rules, and reports. 
  • Assist with Salesforce projects and enhancements to ensure timely delivery. 
  • Develop and maintain process flows, data maps, and technical documentation. 
  • Conduct user training and support change management activities. 
  • Stay current with Salesforce capabilities and recommend best practices. 
Required Skills
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or IT Analyst. 
  • At least 2 years of Salesforce experience. 
  • Strong experience gathering and documenting business and technical requirements. 
  • Experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, or other Salesforce modules. 
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams. 
  • Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum/SAFe). 
  • Experience with Jira or Azure DevOps. 
  • Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills. 
  • Experience managing or supporting large Case Management systems. 
Preferred Skills
  • Salesforce Administrator (ADM 201) or Salesforce Business Analyst certification. 
  • Experience with data migration, integration tools, or Salesforce APIs. 
  • Knowledge of Salesforce reporting and dashboard tools. 
  • Experience with COTS/enterprise Salesforce implementations.
