Job description

Title: Quality Engineer (medical claims)

Location: Eagan, MN

Contract to hire role

The Impact You Will Have

We are looking for passionate, hard-working software QE consultants who can help us build innovative technology experiences that will support BlueCross s mission to inspire change, transform care and improve health for the people we serve.

Your Responsibilities

  • Analyze, design, configure, debug, maintain new or existing systems.
  • Work collaboratively on a daily scrum team with a scrum master, product owner, analysts, App Dev Engineers, and other Quality Engineers to iteratively deliver functional code to production.
  • Work with analysts and customers to establish product or project requirements.
  • Mentor, lead, train other team members.
  • Own UAT coordination and end-to-end test phases, working directly with clinical/business SMEs to validate real-world workflows.
  • Coordinate testing activities with vendor systems and vendor QA teams, ensuring alignment on test scope and defect resolution.
  • Communicate testing status, risks and results clearly to both technical and Non-technical stakeholder
  • Support migration/cutover testing (legacy to new system comparison, Data migration checks during phased rollouts)
  • Should be comfortable owning testing end to end, keeping traceability accounted for sign-off, scoping regression smartly instead of re-testing everything and working through defect triage across several teams.

Skillset & Experience

  • Creative thinking, strong communication skills, creativity, curiosity, self-motivated, time managements skills
  • In depth experience with and knowledge of:
  • Jira, Qmetry, Gitlab, Test Automation Tools, Postman, AWS, Tonic.ai, SQL, Python, Node.js or JavaScript
  • Strong understanding of data flow between systems. Should be able to validate complex & large data sets across integrations.
  • Familiarity with healthcare APIs and how data is exchanged between systems.
  • Experience handling PHI data safely including use if data masking or synthetic data tools.
  • Knowledge, experience, and familiarity with:
  • HealthCare Payer Experience with Provider, Medical Management, Product & Benefit or Claim domains
