Job description

The selected resource will be required to go onsite for the first day. Anyone submitted must be willing to go onsite. The position will primarily be worked remotely after that until the agency returns to working in the office. At that time the expectation is that they will work 100% in the office.  Our direct client has an opening for a Data Developer rec 90869.
This position is up to 12 months contract to start in Phoenix, AZ  If you are interested, please submit the following: your rate and resume W2 or independent contractor allowed. You must have an EIN number at the time of hire and must be direct with us and no employers are allowed.   
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Data Developer will create solutions using SSIS, SSRS, and T-SQL to support the various ADE business process and reporting requirements. The preferred candidate will be investigative, detail-oriented, problem-solving, and understand the power of data and the criticality of its quality.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop ETL solutions using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
  • Develop reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
  • Create T-SQL scripts for database objects and functionality.
  • Perform impact analysis on change requests.
  • Assist in documenting technical specifications from business requirement documents.
  • Participate in all phases of database development and maintenance lifecycle.
  • Support defect analysis and resolution.
  • Assist the team in the design of efficient ETL processes to load and manage data, including a data quality assessment to ensure the quality of the source data will meet the information requirements, develop business rules, data mappings, and transformation rules.
  • Participate in data mapping documentation sessions.
  • Responsible for maintaining a formal description of data and data structures.
  • Assist the Lead Database Architect with the implementation of data architecture principles to align and confirm business capabilities.
  • Assist in supporting multiple SQL Server data repositories, which may include documenting database architecture and analyzing datasets to identify missing, incomplete, or invalid information.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or apparent.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in CS or MIS or equivalent experience.
  • 3 or more years of experience working with relational databases.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in SQL Server T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS.
  • Demonstrated ability to use discretion and make sound decisions.

PREFERRED:
  • Experience in the education industry.
  • Experience working on an Agile/Scrum team.
  • Experience developing with Azure data technologies. 

SOFT SKILLS:
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with developers and business experts.
  • Ability to excel in a collaborative and distributed team environment.
  • Ability to work with a minimal amount of direction while being proactive in keeping their management informed of project-related issues.
