Job description

Job Summary:
The Python Developer will be responsible for designing, architecting, and guiding the development of backend platforms and API services that power the enterprise Cutover capability. This role supports large-scale infrastructure upgrades, architectural transitions, and complex design changes by enabling reliable, automation-driven Cutover execution. The position requires deep expertise in Python, distributed system design, API frameworks, and event-driven backend services. As a key technical leader, the Python Developer will work closely with business stakeholders, Cutover and automation teams, UI engineers, and DevOps groups to deliver seamless, end-to-end Cutover solutions-from design and integration through controlled production execution.
Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of professional Python development with strong advanced object oriented design skills.
  • 8+ years architecting and developing backend APIs/services using Flask, Gunicorn, and production-grade Python frameworks.
  • 8+ years of experience with Python environment management, virtual environments, dependency handling, and PYPI package maintenance.
  • 8+ years working with Python development tools such as Jupyter, Eclipse, Spyder, or equivalent.
  • 8-10+ years of hands-on work in Linux environments.
  • 8+ years of experience with version control (Git/SVN) and CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, Ansible) for automated deployments.
  • Strong proficiency in bash scripting for automation and system orchestration.
  • Advanced experience with data preparation, Python data structures, and Pandas.
  • 8+ years of working with relational and NoSQL databases, including strong SQL fundamentals and ORM experience with SQLAlchemy.
  • Significant experience designing, deploying, and supporting enterprise-scale REST/SOAP web services.
    Desired Qualifications
  • Communication - Speaks clearly, concisely, and knows the audience.
  • Scheduling - Understands dependencies and the difference between critical path deliverables and those that are not. Understands the impacts of schedule delays on financials, risk, and strategy and can balance the need for escalation with non-impacting schedule misses and escalate appropriately when necessary or manage it independently when escalation is not needed.
  • Risk Management - Understands risk criteria and always considers risk but is not crippled by risk adversity. Balances the need to act with the need to be risk adverse
  • Critical Thinking - Has the ability to analyze complex data from multiple sources and objectively make reasoned judgment.
  • Task Management - Understands the work that needs to get done, the resources completing the work, and aligns tasks to the right people, even if the right person occasionally isn't in that particular role
  • Strong familiarity with project management software, such as Microsoft Project.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects at various stages of the project life cycle.
