We are seeking a Senior Mapping Scientist with 5-10 years of experience in the Huntsville, AL office.
The candidate will be directly responsible for developing and implementing procedures for ensuring the accuracy and quality of data related to electrical and telecommunications components for aerial utility infrastructure.

Responsibilities
  • Takes an active role in coaching, mentoring, and delegating responsibility to less-senior level staff; provides daily "on-the-job" training for team members.
  • Research project information.
  • Participate in client and subconsultant meetings
  • Have a thorough understanding of LiDAR sensor technology, including GNSS/IMU data, and LiDAR calibration methodologie
  • Adapt to and integrate new technologies in support of performing QA/QC for utility polesLiDAR
  • Develop efficient workflows for training new associates
  • Adhere to safety and information security policies
  • Work well independently and as a team member
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, or Business Administration required.
  • ASPRS Certified Mapping Scientist (CMS) Or Certified Photogrammetrist (CP) preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience using software tools and packages for LiDAR Processing
  • Must have experience and working knowledge with software like ArcGIS, GeoCue, Global Mapper, Inertial Explorer, LAStools, LP360, Optech-LMS, POSPac MMS, QTModeler, RiPROCESS, and TerraSolid
