Project Overview:

Bechtel is the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) partner on the Northrop Grumman team to deliver the Sentinel Program, which is modernizing the ground-based leg of the U.S. nuclear deterrent triad, including intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) systems and launch infrastructure. Bechtel's scope of service in Sentinel's current Engineering & Manufacturing Development phase focuses on the ground infrastructure component of the program.

A major contractor for the United States and allied governments, Bechtel has handled such efforts as chemical weapons demilitarization projects, missile-defense, infrastructure, base operations, procurement and project management, and restoration and recovery spanning half a century. We use our expertise to help our customers securely and effectively transform mission delivery.

Job Summary:

This position reports to the Central PC Lead and is responsible for Bechtel Standard Applications (BSAP) Coordination activities as well as strategic analysis and reporting of project performance data, and application / automation development as directed by management. This position gathers data from disparate sources to combine it into a unified, accessible dataset for business and operational needs. Core duties include analyzing data integration requirements, designing, building, and maintaining data flows, creating integration solutions using tools like SQL and iPaaS, and performing quality control to ensure data integrity and accuracy across various systems. Key skills are strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities, as well as familiarity with database technologies, data mapping, and ETL processes. This position is responsible for the analysis, design, and implementation of data integrations to ensure seamless data flow and accuracy across various systems and applications. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, and IT professionals to meet data requirements and support strategic initiatives. #LI-EH1

Major Responsibilities:
  • Perform ad-hoc data analysis and reporting of project performance data as directed by management.
  • Assist employees with analysis of project performance data using standard productivity software (Excel, Access, etc.)
  • Track and manage Software Quality Assurance requirements as pertains to project controls automation tools.
  • Provide usability, technical, work process, integration and administrative support for CADS, EcoSys, Project Controls Web (PCWeb), P6, Schedule Integration Baseline Refresher (siBR), Success Estimator and related tools and utilities.
  • Provide usability, work process and integration support for non-Project Controls systems, as they relate to Project Controls systems and personnel, such as, eTrack, eSUB, myTime, SAP HANA, SetRoute and TeamWorks.
  • Facilitate the authoring of user guides, training materials and lessons learned documents related to automation tools.
  • Conduct training and mentoring of automation tools for project personnel as required.
  • Work with business stakeholders and technology teams to gather, document, and analyze data integration requirements.
  • Design and develop data integration solutions, including data mapping and transformation processes, to consolidate data into a unified view.
  • Build, configure, and deploy data integrations using various tools and technologies such as SQL, scripting, and integration platforms (iPaaS).
  • Perform thorough unit and functional testing to ensure the quality, accuracy, and integrity of integrated data.
  • Provide ongoing maintenance, support, and troubleshooting for existing integrations, resolving issues related to data integrity and performance.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including data flow diagrams and process procedures.
  • Foster teamwork and effective communication with internal teams, partnered agencies, and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Requires a University Hire with 1-2 years of experience or 5-6 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Advanced competencies in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access (query, macro and report development).
  • Intermediate competencies in Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle (query, stored procedure and view development and general SQL administration)
  • Demonstrated experience performing statistical analysis, and computer operations.
  • Demonstrated understanding of technical processes and interpreting technical requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, perform, review, and present products using a high level of professional judgment with minimal to moderate levels of supervision.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of team to meet project requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to present work products and information to management/client.

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experience using and supporting project controls automations tool such as CADS, EcoSys, Project Controls Web (PCWeb), Schedule Integration Baseline Refresher (SIBR) and Success Estimator.
  • Experience working with PowerBI and Power Query.
  • Intermediate level understanding of Project Controls general technical skills.
  • Familiarity with work processes used by engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup in major project execution.
  • Experience with DOE, DoD, or major EPC project principles and procedures, particularly those required by a certified EVMS.
  • Flexibility to respond to urgent project requests and/or changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with people of varied backgrounds and objectives.
