Job description

DCS is seeking a skilled Configuration Management/Data Management (CMDM) Analyst to support a fast-paced Army product management office in Huntsville, AL. In this role you will develop systems engineering documents, processes, and procedures, perform configuration management, and track program milestone documentation with effective coordination across engineering, logistics, and customer teams. To succeed in this role, candidates must be proactive, detail-oriented, and well-versed in database management, CMDM processes, tools, and standards.

This is a full-time, onsite position.

Essential Functions:

Support CMDM activities, including product baseline establishment, document control, engineering release processes, and change management.

Review and routing of engineering work products for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with established standards.

Coordinate with internal teams, external stakeholders, vendors, and government personnel to ensure timely processing and communication of CMDM activities.

Prepare and maintain CMDM documentation, reports, and inputs for proposals or basis of estimate development.

Contribute to the development and execution of plans, methodologies, and CMDM processes in alignment with project goals and schedules.

Participate in cross-functional collaboration to ensure consistent application of CMDM practices across projects.

Use professional judgment to identify and resolve issues within assigned areas, escalating as needed.

Safeguard Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), source selection data, and proprietary contractor data while enabling data-driven decision-making for senior leaders.

Primary data liaison and Point of Contact (POC) between the government and contractors to assist in PDM tool access and account management.

Required Skills:

An active SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Bachelor's degree and at least eight (8) years of technical experience, including hands-on configuration and data management work in a DOW environment - OR - High school diploma and 16 years of technical experience, including hands-on configuration and data management work in a DOW environment.

Demonstrated experience in process improvement, documentation accuracy, and technical coordination.

Ability to work independently, apply sound judgment, and maintain high attention to detail.

Working knowledge of configuration and data management principles.

Familiarity with Product Data Management (PDM), Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems, and source control tools.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams, vendors, and government personnel.

Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving and organizational skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications: Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
