Job Description

We are seeking an experienced technology leader to oversee the development, operation, and evolution of enterprise data capabilities. This position is responsible for guiding a multidisciplinary team focused on building scalable information solutions that support reporting, analytics, operational processes, and strategic decision-making. The successful candidate will combine people leadership with strong technical expertise, helping shape the organization's data strategy while ensuring platforms and services remain reliable, secure, and aligned with business priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction to a team of technical specialists responsible for data movement, storage, transformation, and platform operations
  • Drive the delivery and ongoing enhancement of enterprise data services, ensuring solutions are scalable, supportable, and aligned with organizational objectives
  • Establish best practices for platform reliability, automation, monitoring, performance optimization, and information governance
  • Promote modern software engineering and deployment practices across data-focused initiatives, including testing, release management, and operational support
  • Serve as a technical advisor on solution design, integration approaches, and platform architecture
  • Oversee project planning, resource allocation, and execution for multiple concurrent initiatives
  • Identify delivery risks, dependencies, and operational challenges, implementing mitigation strategies where required
  • Collaborate with business leaders and technology partners to define requirements and translate them into practical solutions
  • Manage prioritization of enhancement requests and new initiatives, balancing strategic value with team capacity
  • Report on program performance, project status, and key operational metrics to stakeholders

Must Have

  • 10+ years of experience in Data and IT
  • 2+ years of experience managing people/ teams
  • Experience working with Microsoft Fabric
  • Experience working with Data Bricks, Data Factory, Data Lake
  • Experience working with Python, Pyspark
  • Experience working with Azure

Nice To Have

  • DevOps experience

This is a Permanent position based out of North Vancouver, BC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $125000.00 - $154000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
