Spectra Tech is seeking a Requirements Management and Data Architecture Specialist in Richland, WA.ย 

Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and technically proficient Requirements Management / Data Architecture Specialist to support the developments, integration, and lifecycle management of project requirements and structured technical data. This role combines requirements and management expertise with data architecture skills to ensure that project information is accurately captured, traceable, and consistently managed across requirements, project management, and asset management systems.ย 

Key Responsibilities

Elicit, analyze and document functional and non-functional requirements.ย 

Maintain and organize requirements within a structured requirements managements database.ย 

Establish and manage traceability between requirements, design documents, test cases, and verification activities.ย 

Collaborate with licensing, engineering, project management, and technical stakeholders to clarify expectations and resolve ambiguities.ย 

Support change management processes, including impact assessments and requirements updates.ย 

Generate requirements reports, traceability matrices, and performance metrics using established tools and data sources.ย 

Working under supervisory direction, develop and implement methodologies for importing project data into requirements management, project management, and asset management platforms.ย 

Assist in defining data structures, mappings, and workflows that improve data consistency, quality, and usability across systems.ย 

Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure data governance practices are followed and that system integrations meet project needs.ย 

Skills/Experience

Demonstrated experience in requirements management.ย 

Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including organizing, analyzing, and presenting requirement datasets.ย 

Ability to interpret technical documentation and translate stakeholder needs into clear, actionable requirements.ย 

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.ย 

Preferred Skills and Experience

Experience with Python programming language for automation, data processing, or requirements validation workflows.ย 

Familiarity with relational databases and structured query concepts.ย 

Understanding of systems engineering principles or regulated development environments.ย 

Hands-on experience with at least one requirements management platform (e.g., IBM Rational DOORS, Jama Connect, Polarion).ย 

Hands-on experience with at least one project management platform (e.g., Atlassian Jira).

Hands-on experience with at least one asset management platform (e.g., Hitachi Energy Asset Suite).

Education & Work Background

Bachelors degree in engineering, computer science, information systems, data management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Prior experience working in technical, engineering, or complex project environments is beneficial.ย
