Jr. Buyer – Manufacturing

Location: Port St. Lucie, FL

Schedule: Monday–Friday | Morning Shift | Approximately 8:30 AM–5:00 PM

Pay: $23–$24/hour, based on experience

Position Type: Hourly | Long-Term Opportunity

We are seeking a Jr. Buyer with manufacturing experience to support purchasing, sourcing, inventory management, supplier coordination, and ERP/MRP data management. This is a long-term opportunity for someone interested in building a career with the company, as the position involves extensive training.

Key Responsibilities
  • Source and purchase materials, parts, supplies, and services for manufacturing.
  • Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, lead times, shipping, and supplier terms.
  • Coordinate supplier work orders based on production needs and customer demand.
  • Monitor inventory levels and investigate inventory discrepancies.
  • Evaluate and develop supplier relationships based on price, quality, reliability, and delivery.
  • Maintain bills of material and purchasing information in the ERP/MRP system.
  • Identify alternate suppliers and materials to help control costs.
  • Track and report KPIs related to inventory, productivity, quality, cost, and pick time.
  • Audit and resolve material and supplier issues.
  • Support new product development and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate supplier work orders and purchasing records.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, OSHA, MSDS, and company standards.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of purchasing, sourcing, or buying experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience sourcing and purchasing parts/materials used for assembly or manufacturing required.
  • Associate degree or certificate in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Project Management, or related field preferred.
  • General knowledge of an ERP/MRP system; Intuitive ERP experience is a plus.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Basic understanding of supply chain management.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to maintain an organized work area and follow 5S principles.

Ideal Candidate: Someone with hands-on manufacturing purchasing/sourcing experience who is looking for a stable, long-term opportunity, not a short-term position.

Location Update: The position will initially be based in Stuart, FL and is expected to relocate to Port St. Lucie near I-95 and Becker Road around October.

Compensation: $23–$24/hour. Candidates with strong experience may be considered above the posted range.
