Job description

AvantGarde, LLC (AG) is seeking a Data Analyst responsible for conducting multiple data analyses and developing and maintaining various trackers, logs, databases, presentations, reports, and other documents to support a key program. The Data Analyst will be responsible for monitoring accuracy and compliance in support of regular data calls, including gathering and reviewing data for accuracy; providing dashboard data reports; analyzing assessment surveys; and preparing data metrics reports for senior leadership.
Examples of specific requirements include submitting mandated meeting minutes; developing presentations and maintaining large-scale databases that track key metrics; supporting Quality Assurance (QA) training; and providing data oversight and integrity for program re-certification packets to ensure compliance with established policies and standards.
Work is to be performed onsite at the program headquarters in Washington, DC. This schedule will require on-site support, with some telework to be considered after successful assimilation into the program.
The WORK
  • Create and submit Monthly Progress Reports (MPRs) and Year-End Roll-Up Reports.
  • Support the development of annual reports and provide data analytics and data integrity support for key leadership reports and internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain weekly program updates within the electronic tracker.
  • Ensure submissions are in compliance with established standards.
  • Update the Full-Time Employee Database and provide draft year-end certified personnel reports.
  • Maintain and update the Best Practice Information Log.
  • Analyze and provide feedback on the program's certification process, including tracking submitted Positions of Significant Trust and Authority (POSTA) suitability screenings and credentialing packets.
  • Review required materials and data to prepare for, assist with coordination of, and develop recommendations following program working groups.
  • Provide assistance in reviewing the development of methodologies, measurements, metrics, and tools to assess compliance with program initiatives.
  • Develop, analyze, and update training curricula, Training Support Packages (TSPs), Microsoft PowerPoint presentations, and training materials. This responsibility primarily supports training delivery rather than training development.
  • Develop an Initial Response Coordinator and Victim Advocate Training Feedback Report (Class Feedback Report) detailing issues and areas for improvement.
  • Maintain a database containing online training opportunities and approved face-to-face curricula for the program.
  • Assist with scheduling, planning, and coordinating training classes for employees.
  • Support the execution of assessment surveys to gather feedback from program personnel and identify opportunities for increased emphasis on existing programs or development of new programs and guidance. Create an Assessment Survey Results Report.
  • Monitor the program's SharePoint website daily to ensure content availability and respond to inquiries or notifications regarding errors.
  • Monitor and manage program-related systems, including the design and modification of SharePoint sites and websites.
  • Develop, modify, and maintain reporting requirements within SharePoint systems or specialized utility programs, and document system changes.
  • Monitor, track, and report monthly submissions of Case Management Group (CMG) meeting minutes within the program's incident database, and provide accurate Dashboard Reports and Decision Support Metric Reports.
  • Analyze and design databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.
  • Maintain all backup information needed to enhance and populate systems in accordance with established directives.
  • May perform other duties as assigned by program leadership.
Skills & Requirements
The REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred with 2+ years of direct experience providing support to a private-sector organization or government organization, including internship experience.

  • 2+ years of experience and proficiency in statistical analysis, data analysis, research methods, and report development, whether through professional or academic experience.
  • Knowledge of current quantitative and qualitative data analysis theories, concepts, and principles, with the ability to apply data analyses to inform observations, conclusions, and recommendations.
  • Demonstrated skill in several of the following: adaptability, decision making, customer service, interpersonal relations, oral communication, problem solving, project management, quality management, teamwork, written communication, group presentations, group process facilitation, influence, results orientation, strategic thinking, and team building.
  • Ability to work with a high level of professionalism and independently of day-to-day direction; self-starter and highly motivated individual required.
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel (including expert ability to develop and maintain complex Excel worksheets with pivot tables and related functionality), Word, and PowerPoint, as well as spreadsheet and database PC applications. Candidates may be required to complete a skills assessment.
  • Demonstrated exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Ability to develop and evaluate alternative courses of action, select appropriate courses of action, and follow up effectively.
