Job Description
As a Senior Business Analyst you will join the wealth management group of a leading investment bank focused on Data Governance. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Engaging/Leading Data Stewards, Data Owners, and business SMEs to define Key Data Elements (KDEs), business rules and data quality controls
  • Serving as an internal expert for reports, data definitions, data quality and data lineage
  • Partnering with the Group Data Management Organization to review and validate data lineage
  • Profiling and analyzing data to develop insights and enable requirement gathering
  • Defining and documenting data quality requirements for KDEs so that data is complete and accurate
  • Working with IT to translate business requirements into technical specifications
  • Defining test cases, perform user acceptance testing liaising with the Test Manager , QA and Development throughout the release process
  • Managing data quality monitoring and remediation process
  • Building strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure timely and high quality delivery
  • Communicating the importance of managing data as an asset in all aspects of the role
  • Working as a part of a team of analysts to ensure consistent data across the organization

Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience in the investment banking / wealth management industry
  • 5+ years of business analyst experience with 3+ years in the data related projects
  • Business analysis and data wrangling (transforming and mapping) experience
  • Solid knowledge of data management principles and processes
  • Hands on knowledge of data analysis, data profiling with SQL, IDQ or any other tools
  • Experience with data root cause analysis and cross functional resolution of data issues
  • Ability to break down complex problems into components, identify root causes, and establish resolution plans
  • Excellent presentation and communication (orally and written) skills with ability to interact with all levels of management
  • Ability to effectively breakdown and communicate complex concepts to business and operation partners
  • Ability to adapt to change and to detect and respond to evolving business needs
  • Analytical and logical
  • Highly motivated self-starter with ability to work independently and creatively as well as within a team
  • Team player, collaborative and inclusive
