ROLE_DESCRIPTION -
We are seeking an experienced Informatica IDMC Data Lineage Specialist to support our enterprise data governance and metadata management initiatives. This role will focus on implementing, managing, and optimizing data lineage capabilities using Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC), Enterprise Data Catalog (EDC), and related tools to ensure data transparency, compliance, and trust across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement and configure Informatica IDMC data lineage capabilities, including metadata scanning, parsing, linking, and visualization.
Build and maintain end-to-end data lineage maps for critical data assets across multiple systems (e.g., databases, ETL, cloud, BI tools).
Collaborate with Data Governance, Data Engineering, and Business Teams to identify and onboard key metadata sources into Informatica IDMC.
Ensure data lineage accuracy and quality by validating lineage paths, resolving lineage gaps, and documenting transformation logic.
Automate metadata ingestion from source systems like Snowflake, Oracle, SQL Server, Informatica PowerCenter/IICS, Tableau, etc.
Develop custom metadata parsers and lineage connectors if needed, using APIs or Informatica-provided SDKs.
Support data governance, regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA), and impact analysis through accurate lineage mapping.
Participate in the design and maintenance of metadata management workflows, policies, and lineage standards.
Train and support users on how to access and interpret lineage through the Informatica Data Catalog UI.
