Job description

Our client is seeking a Senior Mortgage Data Analyst with 7-10 years of experience to support enterprise data transformation and enablement initiatives. This role combines deep data architecture expertise with business analysis skills to drive data lineage, governance, and strategic alignment across mortgage operations.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
  • Perform comprehensive data lineage analysis, profiling, and mapping across enterprise systems to identify data flows and quality issues
  • Define business requirements and user stories for data enablement teams through stakeholder collaboration and requirements elicitation
  • Analyze event-driven and entity-based data models; map legacy data assets to target state architectures
  • Partner with business and technical stakeholders to assess business impacts of target state designs and manage expectations throughout planning
  • Support quality oversight, define acceptance criteria, and coordinate QA and UAT activities to ensure deliverable excellence
  • Leverage AI tools (Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude) to enhance analysis efficiency and accelerate insights

Requirements
  • 7-10 years of experience in data analysis, business analysis, or enterprise data architecture roles
  • Proven expertise in data lineage analysis, data profiling, data mapping, and data governance frameworks
  • Strong knowledge of cloud-based data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks) and major cloud providers (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
  • Solid understanding of event-driven and entity-based data modeling approaches
  • Experience with requirements elicitation, business process analysis, and stakeholder management
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies and tools such as Azure DevOps and Jira
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted analysis tools (Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude) is a plus
  • Secondary mortgage industry knowledge strongly preferred
