Position: SharePoint Lead Architect – FileNet to SharePoint Migration

Location: Houston, TX

Work Model: Onsite / Hybrid

Type: Contract

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced SharePoint Lead with strong expertise in SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365, preferably with experience supporting IBM FileNet to SharePoint migration projects.

The ideal candidate should be hands-on with SharePoint configuration, content management, metadata, workflows, and migration activities. This role will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver a scalable and user-friendly SharePoint solution.

Key Responsibilities

Lead SharePoint Online design and implementation activities

Work with business and technical teams to understand requirements

Proficient with Microsoft Purview (Records Management, Retention Labels, and Information Protection)

Design SharePoint structures including sites, libraries, content types, and permissions

Support FileNet to SharePoint migration activities

Configure and support migration tools such as ShareGate and AvePoint

Redesign workflows using Power Automate

Manage SharePoint governance, security, and user access

Support testing, UAT, Go-Live, and Hypercare

Conduct user training sessions and support adoption activities

Required Skills / Must Have:

Strong SharePoint Online experience

Microsoft 365 experience

Microsoft Purview

Experience with document management and metadata

Experience in migration projects

Power Automate experience (mandatory)

Experience managing SharePoint permissions and security

Strong communication and stakeholder interaction skills
