Job description

Summary
PlayCore is looking for an intern to work alongside our growing Data Service Lab. As part of PlayCore's Center for Outreach, Research & Education (CORE), the Data Service Lab is committed to being a trusted resource to help Park and Recreation agencies turn research into practice to positively impact play and recreation initiatives. Whether agencies are in early phases of project planning or evaluation phases post-implementation, we utilize our portfolio of data services and research insights to support health-related strategies and outcomes. Our approach provides customized, data-driven ways to help communities advocate the holistic value of parks, recreation, and open spaces.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in conducting, coordinating, and evaluating groundtruthing research at parks & playgrounds.
  • Curate data from multiple publicly available data sources to build data-driven stories for prospective and longstanding agency customers.
  • Data processing: cleaning, coding, and summarizing data.
  • Generate monthly reports and as needed by internal team.
  • Build agency-specific reports and work with team to share out to professionals.
  • Create data-driven advocacy resources that agencies can use to demonstrate their value.

Education and/or Experience
