Pay Rate: $56.00 $58.00 / hour
Duration: 6 12 Months (Contract)
About the Role
Openwork is hiring on behalf of our clienta global chemical and materials manufacturer headquartered in The Woodlands, TX. We are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Manager for a 6 to 12-month contract position. Serving as the strategic bridge between business leaders and IT teams, you will turn complex operational and commercial data into actionable insights that drive decision-making across the organization.
This role is ideal for a data leader with deep manufacturing expertise who excels at building Tableau dashboards, improving forecasting accuracy, and streamlining commercial systems. Enjoy a competitive hourly rate and a flexible schedule with Fridays working from home!
Key Responsibilities
  • Dashboard & Analytics Development: Design, build, and maintain enterprise-level dashboards, scorecards, and reports using Tableau to track business performance and KPIs.
  • Commercial & Demand Forecasting: Develop analytical models to support demand planning, sales performance, trend analysis, and financial decision-making.
  • Systems & Process Optimization: Partner with sales, finance, operations, and IT to improve process efficiency, automate manual reporting, and manage CRM/ERP system enhancements.
  • Data Governance & Quality: Establish reporting standards, audit data integrity across integrated platforms, and maintain clean master data processes.
  • Training & Change Management: Create standard operating procedures (SOPs), conduct user training workshops, and drive software/report adoption across non-technical teams.
  • Project Leadership: Manage cross-functional analytics and digital transformation projects from initial requirements gathering through deployment and testing.
Required Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, Finance, or a related technical field.
  • Industry Experience: Proven experience in a Manufacturing background (Chemical industry experience is a major plus).
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong expertise with Tableau for data visualization (Power BI experience is a plus).
    • Advanced SQL capabilities for querying, data modeling, and dataset preparation.
    • Familiarity with ERP and CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, SAP) and high proficiency in Excel.
  • Professional Skills:
    • Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical/data concepts to executive stakeholders.
    • Hands-on experience leading cross-functional project teams, gathering business requirements, and conducting user acceptance testing (UAT).
