Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Middle Office / Data Integrity Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for data management, strong analytical skills, and the ability to turn complex datasets into actionable insights. As a Middle Office / Data Associate, you will play a key role in helping our organization make data-driven decisions by collecting/organizing, maintaining, and interpreting data across various functions. The Operations team at Aquarian collaborates with many different teams firmwide including Investments, Finance, Compliance, and Senior Leadership. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the overall success of our investment strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Collection and Management:

    • Gather, organize, and maintain large datasets from multiple sources.

    • Ensure data integrity, quality, and consistency through regular validation and reconciliation/cleaning processes.

      • Perform daily and monthly reconciliation of cash and positions with custodians and internal systems, ensuring discrepancies are identified and resolved in a timely manner.

    • Update and maintain security and pricing data

    • Develop and manage data pipelines and ETL processes.

  • Compliance Support: Assist in compliance monitoring by ensuring all operational processes align with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for operational efficiencies and implement process enhancements to streamline workflows and reduce risks.

  • Collaboration: Build and maintain relationships with clients, counterparties, third party vendors, and internal stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and problem resolution.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree.

  • Experience: 2-4 years of experience in Investment Operations, Data Integrity, or related experience within asset management or broader financial services.

  • Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite

  • Expert with spreadsheet tools, specifically Microsoft Excel.

  • Knowledge of statistical and analytical methods.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
