  • Support enterprise-level data governance initiatives by implementing frameworks and practices that align with organizational standards, ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business objectives into technical solutions.
  • Support the administration of Azure-based databases, including performance tuning, backup/recovery, and maintenance, ensuring database reliability and functionality.
  • Mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Evaluate and implement industry-leading tools like Azure Synapse Analytics, Data Lake Storage, and Databricks to enhance the data ecosystem.
  • Analyze and resolve intricate data challenges, employing problem-solving and critical thinking to optimize engineering processes.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE;

  • 10+ years of professional experience in data engineering or a related field.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, including writing and optimizing complex queries, window functions, CTEs, and query tuning for large datasets. Strong experience in database design and managing transactions.
  • Proven expertise in developing large-scale ETL pipelines and data processing automation using PySpark and Python within Microsoft Fabric Notebooks, integrated across the Azure ecosystem.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft data integration tools, specifically Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Fabric Data Factory, to orchestrate complex data ingestion pipelines.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of Data Warehousing and Lakehouse architectures, including star/snowflake schemas, Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD), and data governance frameworks to ensure high-quality, compliant data solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with modern DevOps and CI/CD frameworks, utilizing Git workflows (branching, merging, PRs) and Azure DevOps to automate pipelines, manage environment configurations, and deploy Azure resources.
  • Solid communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into actionable business insights.
  • Demonstrated leadership and strategic capabilities, including mentoring team members, taking ownership of projects, and collaborating effectively with stakeholders to balance deep technical details with overarching business objectives.
  • Microsoft Certified: Fabric Data Engineer Associate (DP-700) is preferred
  • Proficiency in spoken and written French is a plus.
