Job description

Data Insights & Analytics Manager

The Data Insights & Analytics Manager sits within the Global Business Services (GBS) organization and plays a critical role in shaping and executing the data and analytics strategy. This role is responsible for transforming data into actionable insights that drive informed decision-making and measurable business outcomes across GBS.

As a leader, you will partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to unlock the value of data, while building and fostering a strong data-driven culture. You will guide a team to translate complex datasets into clear, compelling narratives that resonate with audiences at all levels of the organization.

A key focus of this role is to proactively identify trends, opportunities, and risks through advanced analytics and insights. In parallel, you will collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to design and enhance the GBS data architecture, including supporting the migration and optimization of data within Snowflake.

This is a full-time, hybrid (3 days on-site) position located at our Northbrook, IL office (preferred) or Chicago, IL office with occasional travel to Northbrook (1 day a week).

Responsibilities
  • Partner with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders (including Finance and Operations) to align analytics initiatives with strategic priorities.
  • Oversee the translation of business needs into scalable data and analytics solutions, deliver data-driven insights using advanced modeling and forecasting techniques, and serve as a trusted advisor to influence decision-making across the organization.
  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of analytics by transforming financial and operational data (including AP, AR, Payroll, T&E, Sustainability, and Working Capital) into actionable insights that drive performance, identify risks, and uncover opportunities.
  • Oversee the development and application of advanced analytics, including predictive modeling and machine learning (ML), to forecast key business KPIs, ensuring solutions are accurate, interpretable, and aligned with business needs.
  • Own and evolve the reporting and analytics ecosystem, including scalable Power BI dashboards and data models integrated with Snowflake and enterprise systems, while driving automation and efficiency through tools such as Python and Power Automate.
  • Establish and enforce strong data governance standards to ensure the quality, integrity, and reliability of financial and operational data, while guiding data architecture and system enhancements to support scalability.
  • Drive continuous advancement of analytics capabilities by evaluating and adopting emerging tools, technologies, and methodologies, and enabling the team to deliver greater business value.
  • Lead and develop a global team of Business Data Analysts, driving prioritization, issue resolution, and the consistent delivery of analytics that create measurable business impact.
  • Build and reinforce a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, establishing clear quality standards to ensure the accuracy and reliability of all analytics outputs.
  • Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct, and follow all physical and digital security practices.
  • Performs other duties as directed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Management, Business Analytics, or other quantitative field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data management, governance, or analytics roles.
  • At least 1 to 2 years of experience in a leadership or management capacity.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and programming languages (SQL, Python, etc.).
  • Expertise with BI and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflakes and ML modeling.
  • Solid experience as a lead or participant in cross-functional or global projects, or experience working in multiple functions or regions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Strong customer service mindset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of order to Cash, Invoice to Pay, and Travel is preferred.

Total Rewards: We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. The estimated salary range for this position is $115,400 to $125,000 and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 20% of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), Holidays (9 days), Personal days (3 days) and sick time off (72 hours).
