Job description

The Reimbursement & Market Access Manager is responsible for designing and advancing innovative strategies to enhance patient-focused reimbursement and benefit support programs. The individual will bridge strategy, operations, and analytics-identifying opportunities to improve access, affordability, and patient experience. The role also provides coding and reimbursement guidance for new program innovations and leverages data insights from patient assistance program dashboards to drive continuous improvement and impact. They provide accurate and objective information to Health Care Professionals regarding Coloplast's technologies, including identifying coverage, codes, and billing options that may apply to relevant Interventional Urology procedures. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, knowledgeable about medical device reimbursement, and committed to ethical, compliant engagement with healthcare professionals and stakeholders.
Major Areas of Accountability
Strategy & Innovation
  • Lead the development and execution of innovative strategies to enhance patient access and affordability within reimbursement and benefit support programs
  • Identify unmet patient, provider, and payer needs and translate them into scalable program enhancements
  • Evaluate emerging trends in reimbursement, patient services, and digital health to inform program innovation
  • Partner cross-functionally (e.g., Marketing, Health Economics, Legal, Compliance, IT) to design and implement new initiatives
  • Build business cases and strategic roadmaps for innovation investments

Reimbursement & Coding Guidance
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on reimbursement pathways, coding (e.g., HCPCS, CPT, ICD-10), and coverage considerations
  • Provide guidance on coding and billing implications for new program innovations, tools, or service offerings
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with payer policies and regulatory requirements
  • Develop educational materials and training for internal teams and partners on reimbursement best practices
  • Monitor changes in coding and reimbursement landscapes and assess impact on patient support programs
  • Provide accurate and objective information and materials to HCPs (including administrators, billing managers and other HCPs) regarding Coloplast products, including coverage, codes, and billing options that may apply to Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers

Data Analytics & Insights
  • Analyze patient assistance program (PAP) and hub services dashboards to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities
  • Translate data into actionable insights to improve program performance, patient uptake, and outcome
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to access, affordability, and patient journey efficiency
  • Partner with analytics teams to enhance dashboards, reporting capabilities, and predictive insights
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses to support strategic decision-making and innovation prioritization

Program Optimization & Execution
  • Recommend and implement enhancements to existing patient support programs based on data insights and stakeholder feedback
  • Ensure alignment of innovations with compliance, legal, and regulatory requirements
  • Support pilot programs and test-and-learn initiatives to advance new solutions
  • Measure impact of implemented changes and continuously refine strategies
  • Ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements.

Stakeholder Engagement
  • Act as a key liaison between internal teams (Health Economics, Marketing, Commercial) and external partners (vendors, hubs, advocacy groups)
  • Communicate insights, recommendations, and progress to senior leadership
  • Facilitate alignment across stakeholders to ensure successful execution of initiatives

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with focus in life science, health economics, healthcare administration, or related field
  • 5+ years of medical device/technology industry, pharmaceuticals, managed care and/or health related industry
  • Strong understanding and application of principles and concepts in market access, reimbursement and/or health economics
  • Experience with patient support programs, hub services, or patient assistance programs strongly preferred
  • Strong business acumen; experience working with various business partners (Sales, Marketing, Medical Science Liaisons, Clinical Program Managers)
  • Travel required, primarily domestic
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. reimbursement systems, payer dynamics, and coding frameworks (CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10)
  • Experience analyzing healthcare data and dashboards to generate actionable insights
  • Familiarity with patient journey mapping and access-related barriers
  • Familiarity with coverage, coding, and payment constructs for medical devices and associated services across all healthcare settings

    • Competitive Compensation: The compensation range for this position is $116,756 - $175,133. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location. Hired candidates may be eligible to receive additional compensation in the form of bonuses and/or incentives.
