Job description

JOB TITLE:Sr. Researcher - 3D Imagery Walk-Through Reconstruction LOCATION:Bethesda, Maryland CLEARANCE: Current Top Secret / SCI with Polygraph EDUCATION: Bachelors' degree in physics, mathematics, computer science, or relevant engineering fields (i.e., electrical, computer, biometrics, systems, mechanical, software) with eight plus (8+) years of work experience in one of these fields or Masters' degree with two plus (2+) years of work experience. JOB DESCRIPTION: The goal of this task is to provide SME SETA oversight for the creation of photorealistic, navigable 3D site models using a highly limited corpus of imagery, to include ground level imagery, surveillance height imagery (traffic camera), unmanned aerial vehicle altitude imagery, and satellite imagery. Additionally, where imagery lacks metadata indicating geolocation, information about camera parameters, or is corrupted by artifacts. The Program seeks to detect and correct these factors to incorporate the imagery in site-modeling and other downstream image processing and analysis algorithms. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Current Top Secret / SCI with Polygraph • Two (2) years' experience in the development of image and video analytics. • Two (2) years' experience with system design and integration. • Two (2) years' experience with R&D of image processing. • Two (2) years' experience with R&D of computer vision. • Two (2) years' experience with R&D of software engineering. • One (1) years' experience with the Institutional Review Board (IRB) process for human subject research. • One (1) years' experience managing a multi-disciplinary research and development (R&D) or Test and Evaluation (T&E) team. • One (1) years' experience with R&D of machine learning or deep neural network algorithms. • Two (2) years' experience creating program plans, work breakdown structures, and milestone schedules. • One (1) years' experience with technical evaluation and assessment techniques. • Ability to proactively manage multiple, concurrent tasks. • Experience with Agile program management and systems development processes, including integrated testing. • Excellent writing and editing skills. Ability to develop succinct, comprehensive, understandable documents using complex data from multiple sources. • Excellent slide development and PowerPoint skills. Ability to visually communicate complex ideas at a high level for technically savvy, but non-expert audiences. • Strong organizational, problem solving, and time management skills. Must be detail oriented. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS (in order of importance): • Two (2) years' experience with Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). • Two (2) years' experience with optical sensor hardware. • Two (2) years' experience with multi-view geometry. • Two (2) years' experience within Government Agencies, including experience with requirements, ConOps, and transition. • Two (2) years' experience managing a multi-disciplinary research and development (R&D) or Test and Evaluation (T&E) team. • One (1) years' experience as a Project Manager or Deputy Project Manager. • Two (2) years' experience with planning, organizing, and executing field data collections. • Four (4) years' experience in any, some, or all of the following topics: image compression, system design and integration, image processing, computer vision, machine learning and software engineering. • Two (2) years' experience with R&D of machine learning or deep neural network algorithms.
