Joining the Data Strategy and Governance team means playing a key role within a growing team whose mandate is to establish and operationalize the data strategy for iA Auto and Home. Our goal is to continuously enhance expertise, governance, methods, and analytical tools across the organization.

What you'll accomplish with us

As a Practice Leader, Data Governance, you'll be at the core of our mission. Here are the main responsibilities:

Evolve data governance practices, ensuring alignment with organizational orientations (data quality, metadata, lifecycle, glossary, etc.)
Act as a business data steward for the sector, ensuring alignment and communication of guidelines from the Data Governance Office, while bridging corporate directions and business realities
Ensure the consistent integration of governance principles into processes, initiatives, and delivered solutions
Act as a business lead on cross-functional projects, taking ownership of initiatives with a strong data component
Structure and lead the data stewardship network and data governance communities of practice
Act as a catalyst for other team functions by influencing practices related to data and analytical tools

We're looking for someone who:

Is known for their ability to navigate complex, ambiguous, and evolving environments
Stands out for their ability to structure, prioritize, and drive high-impact initiatives
Demonstrates strong mastery of data governance concepts (data quality, metadata, lifecycle, glossary, etc.)
Is recognized for their influence-based leadership and ability to mobilize without direct authority
Has 8 to 10 years of experience in a relevant data-related field (governance, analytics, transformation, etc.)
Has hands-on experience leading data initiatives, ideally in a cross-functional context
Has experience in framing or managing business needs (e.g., project manager, product owner, analyst, business lead, etc.)
Has a bachelor's degree or equivalent university education in a relevant field
Has experience with data governance tools (e.g., Collibra or equivalent)
