Job Summary:

The Production Planning Clerk helps prepare itemized schedules for customers per plan and relates any problems with meeting schedules to the appropriate management personnel. This person will keep accurate inventory progress and purchase orders per customer, communicating necessary information with customers. They maintain all records by keeping them updated and organized. Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing.

Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent
  2. Three or more years of experience in a production environment preferred
  3. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  4. Must have good communication organizational, leadership, and mathematical skills, work well under pressure, demonstrated past achievement, the ability to adapt to new situations, and excellent computer skills.
  5. Must be able to type a minimum of 35wpm and have basic knowledge of standard office techniques.

  5. Keeps an accurate balance of customer purchase orders.
  6. Posts achievement daily.
  7. Helps with the revision of standards and other operating documents.
  8. Helps prepare reports and data as required by the department.
  9. Ensures safety by making sure personal protective equipment is used when required and by having it conveniently available at all times while in work area.
  10. Helps maintain a neat, clean, and orderly work area according to 5S objectives.
  11. Handles all chemicals according to the Hazard Communication Standard.
  12. Notifies the Supervisor of any accidents or abnormal situations. Promptly reports and corrects, if possible, any unsafe conditions.
  13. Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested by management.
