Material Handler
SUMMARY
Receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Perform daily functions in an accurate and expedited fashion to maintain an efficient and continuous flow of materials, parts, assemblies and/or produce goods between departments. This includes data entry and transactional documentation.
  • Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
  • Communicate unresolved issues identified during the shift to the department supervisor and order status and/or special-order requirements to oncoming shift personnel.
  • Operates a lift truck to move materials in accordance with the stated safety guidelines.
  • Contributes to ensuring continued compliance to company standards.
  • Performs physical audits, investigates and resolves inventory discrepancies.
  • Compiles documentation from customer specifications.
  • Cleans and organizes applicable work areas.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of daily computer system(s).
  • Maintains a safe and orderly general facility appearance.
  • Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
  • Follows the applicable Versatility Chart.
  • Perform all duties in compliance with regulatory requirements as well as company policies and procedures.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • The use of basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, percentages, ratios, and proportions are required.

Ability to complete the in-house fork truck operation course and obtain an appropriate license is required.
