Job description

INTRODUCTION: This position reports to the Inside Sales & Customer Service Manager. It is solely accountable for the fulfillment of all assigned duties and has authority delegated commensurate with assigned responsibilities.
CUSTOMER SERVICE & DATA ENTRY SPECIALIST - This role is charged to create and maintain positive customer relations, process daily sales orders and work directly with customers to meet their needs. This position is required to follow JOST's defined processes for order priority. It is required to perform daily and timely communications to JOST's inside & outside sales departments as needed.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY: Include, but are not limited to:
a) Customer service focused to include phone calls, emails and related from initial contact for order and/or order inquiry to customer's receipt of product.
b) Accurate order entry into the ERP system using established processes verifying part information is accurate, order agrees with pricing schedules and/or quotes for all domestic and international sales to customers and as required for accurate and appropriate shipping lead time, dates for production planning and manufacturing purposes.
c) Notifies management timely of order issues providing detailed and proactive information.
d) Maintain the flow of incoming EDI orders and correct any and all errors that may occur.
e) Accurate invoicing inside of our ERP system for JOST International. Some customers will require this information be duplicated on their portal to help ensure timely payment.
f) Provide sales quotations to customers using predefined guidelines, under the direction of the Inside Sales Manager.
g) Provides essential communication and feedback to JOST Inside and Outside Sales team staff members.
h) Correct logistics as related to sales orders, to include routings, carriers and related.
i) Forwards warranty issue communication to appropriate Management staff in timely manner.
j) Supports the JOST International Outside Sales Staff.
k) Other tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements
REQUIREMENTS:
a) Minimum of 3 years of on-the-job experience or equivalent in prior work history.
b) Completion of college education in a business related field.
c) High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
d) Ability to learn the current JOST ERP system (SAP).
e) Solid working knowledge in Microsoft Office; Excel, Word and Outlook.
f) Excellent communication, verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
g) Ability to take direction and work independently but also as part of a highly effective team.
h) Capable of working in a fast-paced office environment with successful multi-tasking and the ability to handle multiple projects at various stages of completion, successfully and timely.
i) Highly dependable, motivated and self-driven with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in work.
j) Ability to gain knowledge of company products, company quality and safety procedures and the JOST International Basic Processes.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
a) Work is generally performed in office setting.
b) While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, see, hear and frequently required to walk; use hands, reach, stoop, bend, twist, stand and occasionally will be required to lift or move objects up to 50 pounds.
