Job description

The City of Charleston Illinois is seeking a Part Time Administrative Assistant at City Hall.ย  The starting wage is $15 per hour and includesย Personal Leave accrual and is IMRF pension eligible.ย  The Part Time Administrative Secretary works 25ย hours per week from 12:00pm and 5:00pm, Monday through Friday when City Hall is open.
Duties:

  • Greet the public and provide excellent customer service
  • Answer multi line phone and direct calls
  • Routine clerical tasks including filing, prepare mailings, copying, scanning, data entry, and proof read documents
  • Enter bills payable with accuracy
  • Prepare correspondence
  • Communicate effectively with strong interpersonal skills
  • Must be motivated to continue learning and apply knowledge, skills, and abilities to other duties as required

Benefits:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience working with the public
