Job description

Job Title: Program Assistant (Bilingual, English/Spanish)
Location: Highland Park
Supervisor: Program Supervisor/ Center Director

As the Program Assistant, you will provide program support, focused on administrative tasks that will help champion our programs aimed at providing childcare, child and parent education, and doula services to the community. Office tasks will be included.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Coordinating deadlines, calendars, planning for groups and events
  • Providing support in entering data into systems, including monthly statistics and reports
  • Submitting all invoices and mileage reimbursements
  • Assisting in public relations and fundraising/special events sponsored by the agency or program
  • Assisting with the center's social media presence and posts
  • Assisting in preparing flyers, forms, and newsletter
  • Connecting with and locating new vendors for activities, events, and materials. Placing orders.
  • Stepping in, as needed, to support the Dual Language team

The ideal candidate will have the following education and experience:
  • High School Diploma
  • Works well as a team member. Able to hold team members, including self, accountable for meeting deadlines
  • Bilingual English/Spanish with good oral and written communication skills in both languages.
  • Experience in providing administrative tasks and office support
  • Computer skills that include extensive knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Publisher. Ability to help staff with computer issues and the Internet
  • Experience with responsible posting on social media
  • Ability to type a minimum of 35 WPM
  • Organized and able to work well under pressure and to handle multiple assignments at the same time

This is a full-time nonexempt position.
Hourly rate: $20/hour
Schedule: Mon - Fri 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
