Job description

Data Entry Clerk

  • Need 50+ word per minute typing skills and efficiency with all Microsoft 365 programs especially Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, along with Adobe Acrobat and Quick Books - must not perform any work utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI)
  • MUST maintain professionalism and phone etiquette with coworkers and our special needs adult customers.
  • Maintain Respect within the Office (no personal use of cellphone or technology during work hours)
  • Locate and report data entry errors - correct as instructed by supervisor.
  • Compile, sort, and verify the accuracy of data before it is entered.
  • Compare data with source documents or re-enter data in verification format to detect errors.
  • Store completed documents in appropriate locations; many are confidential information.
  • Read source documents such as emails, texts, canceled checks, sales reports, or bills, and enter data in specific data fields, using keyboards, scanners, or Adobe.
  • Maintain logs of activities and completed work and daily goals.
  • Maintain files, hard-copy and digital.
  • Sign and maintain confidentiality agreement due to documents of special needs.
  • Since dealing with personal and financial information as well as QuickBooks, must sign confidentiality and be able to be bonded under employee theft and dishonesty bond.
  • Must not be scared of or allergic to dogs - service dog does work onsite.
  • Must have transportation to travel between 2 offices throughout the workday (located within 7 minutes of each other).
  • 10-20 hours per week.  Paid Internship position and will work around school schedules.
  • First 4-week training period is paid at minimum wage as contract pay (no taxes withheld) - may be released at any time within the first 4 weeks if management deems that you are not the correct fit for this position - NOT UNEMPLOYMENT eligible.  At the end of the 4 weeks, the pay rate will be set according to skill set ($10-$15/hr) and converted to part-time W-2 employee.  MUST be able to work independently after 4-week training session
