Position Overview

This role involves delivering X-Ray services to patients, adhering to the student’s scope of practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and position patients while selecting exposure parameters under direct supervision.
  • Adhere to radiation safety and protection protocols.
  • Assist supervising technologists and physicians during various imaging procedures.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media and medications in accordance with the accepted scope of practice and relevant regulations.
  • Accurately position patients and determine anatomical and technical specifications.
  • Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment, including procedure rooms, storage areas, and dressing rooms.
  • Maintain a state of alertness and safety at all times.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.
QualificationsEducation
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited radiology program.
Experience
  • No prior experience is necessary.
Physical Demands
  • Regularly required to stand and walk.
  • Frequent use of vision for both near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) distances.
  • Regularly engage in oral communication, utilizing hearing and speech.
  • Frequently distinguish body sounds and detect alarms or malfunctioning equipment through hearing.
  • Regularly lift, carry, and push/pull objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
  • Assist in lifting and moving patients frequently.
  • Engage in reaching, gripping, and data entry tasks regularly.
