Position Information
Position Title Student Ambassador Department Admissions Appointment Term Academic Year (August - May) FLSA Non-Exempt Job Summary
The Student Ambassador represents the Office of Admissions by welcoming prospective students and guests, leading campus tours. This position also supports recruitment efforts, special events, and admissions outreach while promoting MoWest through positive engagement, including social media. 
Essential Duties
  • Greet prospective students and guests.
  • Give campus tours during the week with occasional Saturdays.
  • Transporting students to and from meetings
  • Data entry
  • Conduct outreach to prospective students
  • Assist the Office of Admissions and university administration with special events such as Discover More At MoWest, Commencement, college fairs, etc.
  • Prepare materials for prospective students.
  • Complete all other tasks as assigned by the Office of Admissions staff.
Required Qualifications
  • MoWest degree-seeking student
  • Must be a part-time or full-time student.
  • Part-time enrollment status
  • Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 at the time of application and throughout the performance of the role.
  • Not currently on academic or disciplinary probation.
Preferred Qualifications Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Must be able to serve as a positive role model for Missouri Western, both in person and online.
  • Demonstrated ability to treat colleagues with kindness and respect, and work as a team.
  • Demonstrated public speaking skills in both one on one and group settings

  • Displays a willingness to work with others.
