Job description

Summary:

Responsible for the collection and protection of intellectual property, technical customer support, review and approval of numerous key documents and processes involved in the development of new personal care products. This position requires a science background and an analytical mind with an eye for detail-oriented work.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit team player qualities of cooperation and coordination; professional interaction in all business contacts, all day, every day
  • Present for work when scheduled is a mandatory function. Work hours may extend pass normal business hours based on the workload of the department.
  • compliance and enforcement of all company safety rules, procedures and guidelines is essential. Reporting of safety issues is mandatory.
  • National Brand evaluations and Competitor analysis – physical property testing and organoleptics evaluation.
  • Equipment calibration and maintenance as needed: Viscometers, pH Meters, Thermometers, Incubators
  • Digitalization of paperwork/website development and maintenance.
  • Support corporate software SAP with data entry, troubleshooting, and querying as needed.
  • Provide internal and external customer technical support via information and document creating, gathering, dissemination.
  • Formula card creation and review.
  • SAP support including material master creation for formulas, premixes, and BOM creation. Also, managing purchase requisitions & orders through SAP (including Capital Expenditures).
  • Provide technical support to lab personnel including but not limited to: Triangle evaluations, WERCs, SAP assistance and equipment function training.
  • Assist with sales sample requests and coordinates sample generation for special meetings/etc.
  • Internal Sample Ordering.
  • Outgoing FedEx Shipment preparation.

Supply fulfillment: Office supplies ordering and maintenance; Laboratory supplies ordering and maintenance.

  • Store checks: Shopping for national brand samples as needed for national brand evaluations, 3rd party testing, special projects, etc.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelors of Science in Chemistry, or closely related field of study; or equivalent experience and/or training; or combination of 3 years education and experience



Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year laboratory experience (including college laboratory experience)
  • One year of professional laboratory experience is preferred.
  • Proficient in Excel; basic understanding Word
