Job description

With the belief that they were there when we needed them, so we must be there now that they need us, Veterans Inc. is the largest provider of supportive services to Veterans and their families. We are seeking to fill the Data Entry Clerk position and add valuable members to our team to accomplish our mission!

WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR DAY TO DAY:

  • Assist with departmental efforts to establish, maintain and update data entry systems by utilizing electronically formatted documentation.
  • Collaborate with assigned regional case managers to enter client data and case management progress notes into the HMIS system.
  • Review documentation for quality assurance and accuracy, create and edit documentation and/or spreadsheets for grant recordkeeping and audit compliance.
  • Verify documentation accuracy and completeness of received data from program staff. Assign codes/numbers to all new orders; log and forward information to assigned program staff to verify HMIS acceptance.
  • Maintain clear and concise documentation pertaining to Data Entry Department needs.
  • Capture and update data needs within the Missing Data Log spreadsheet.
  • Maintain libraries of electronic storage media.
  • Review, sort and accurately document into HMIS all new data captured within the Data Drive (J) and email correspondence.
  • Ensure confidentiality standards and guidelines are being met at all times in accordance with VETERANS INC. and DOL/DVS/VA and other assigned grant programs).
  • Attends and actively participates on all Veterans Inc. and external meetings are required.
  • Maintains a positive relationship with the clients, staff volunteers and visitors.

WHAT YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Minimum of an Associates degree in Business Administration, Information Systems or other related field.
  • Must be able to pass a CORI background records check.
  • Compliance with Veterans Inc. COVID-19 Vaccination Policy. Religious and Medical Exemptions are considered.
