Job description

Our client, a leading organization in the food processing industry, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control Lab Technician to join their team. As a vital member of the Quality department, you will support the company's commitment to quality assurance and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, effective communication, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, aligning successfully with the organization’s goals.

Job Title: Quality Control Lab Technician

Location: Frankfort, MI

Pay Range: $16.50 - $18.50 per hour based on shift

Shift: 1st and 2nd, 2 days on, 2 days off schedule with 12 hour shifts and rotating weekends.

What's the Job?

  • Gather process samples and perform defined testing accurately and efficiently.
  • Enter test results into the system promptly and accurately.
  • Develop and maintain qualification in chemical testing, lockout/tagout procedures, and data entry processes within one month of hire.
  • Conduct various tests including Brix, acid, micro testing, raw fruit testing, and syrup and juice concentrate testing.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure quality standards are met and maintained.

What's Needed?

  • Ability to learn and become qualified in chemical testing, lockout/tagout, and data entry within one month of hire.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Critical thinking skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds, work on elevated platforms including ladders, and differentiate all primary colors.
