About Nelson Recruiting

Nelson Recruiting is a nationwide market research recruiting company that has been in business for more than 40 years. We work with organizations across the country to recruit qualified participants for focus groups, interviews, mock juries, product research, and other market research studies.

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to join our team full-time. This is a fully remote position that is ideal for someone who is organized, comfortable working with computers, and able to maintain a high level of accuracy while handling large amounts of information.

Responsibilities

As a Data Entry Clerk, your responsibilities will include:

  • Accurately entering and updating information in company databases and internal systems
  • Reviewing data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency
  • Verifying information against source documents and existing records
  • Identifying and correcting inaccurate, incomplete, or duplicate information
  • Maintaining organized and up-to-date electronic records
  • Performing routine database maintenance and data-cleaning projects
  • Entering and maintaining information in spreadsheets
  • Performing quality-control checks on completed work
  • Assisting with reports and other data-related projects
  • Following established procedures for handling confidential information
  • Communicating with managers and team members when information is unclear or incomplete
  • Completing assigned projects accurately and within established deadlines
  • Assisting with additional administrative and data-entry responsibilities as needed

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong typing and computer skills
  • A high level of accuracy
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • The ability to stay focused while performing repetitive and detail-oriented work
  • The ability to follow instructions and established procedures
  • The ability to work independently and manage responsibilities in a remote environment
  • Dependable attendance and the ability to maintain a consistent work schedule
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Comfort using spreadsheets, databases, email, and web-based applications
  • The ability to learn new software and internal systems quickly

Previous data entry, administrative, clerical, or database experience is preferred but not required.

Schedule & Availability

This is a full-time position.

Employees should typically be available to work Monday through Friday from approximately 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Because our team works remotely, we are looking for someone who is dependable, responsive, and consistently available during their scheduled working hours.

Location Requirements

This position is fully remote; however, applicants must currently reside in one of the following states:

  • Arkansas
  • Arizona
  • Michigan
  • Oklahoma
  • Utah
  • Wisconsin

Remote Work Requirements

Candidates must have:

  • Reliable high-speed internet access
  • A quiet and dependable workspace
  • The ability to communicate regularly with managers and coworkers throughout the workday

Compensation & Benefits

  • $20.00 per hour
  • Full-time employment
  • Two weeks of paid vacation per year
  • Consistent Monday–Friday work schedule
  • Fully remote position

Additional company benefits and policies will be discussed during the hiring process.

Who We're Looking For

The right person for this position is someone who is reliable, organized, accurate, and takes responsibility for the quality of their work.

You should be comfortable working independently, but also willing to ask questions when something does not look right. We value employees who catch mistakes rather than simply entering information as quickly as possible.

If you are dependable, comfortable working with computers, have strong attention to detail, and are looking for a stable full-time remote position, we encourage you to apply.

Nelson Recruiting is an equal opportunity employer. We consider qualified applicants without regard to legally protected characteristics.
