Job description

Overview
Assists in the daily management of the hospital's Point-Of-Care Testing Program. Responsibilities include data collection and organization, quality testing, policy enforcement, process documentation, inventory control of departmental supplies, computer data entry and word processing, and staff training

Performs laboratory tests using standard procedures, and identifies causes of technical and instrumental problems.
Qualifications
Education
High School diploma or GED required.
Experience
Minimum of two years experience in hospital environment working with test orders/lab processes strongly preferred.
Additional Skills/Abilities
Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly. Must be able to maintain absolute confidentiality in the handling of patient information. Absolute integrity and accuracy in the identification and reporting of number and names. Must be proficient in use of computer and word processing skills.
