Nalu Federal is seeking a professional, dependable, and customer-focused Front Desk / Data Entry Specialist to support the U.S. Air Force Military & Family Readiness Center (M&FRC) at Hanscom Air Force Base, Massachusetts.

This position serves as a primary point of contact for military members, families, retirees, and other customers visiting or contacting the Military & Family Readiness Center. The successful candidate will provide front desk customer service, administrative support, appointment and class scheduling, and accurate data entry into Air Force and Department of Defense systems.

This is an in-person position at Hanscom AFB and is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, is highly organized, and is comfortable working with computers and administrative systems in a professional environment.

  • Enter and maintain customer and program information in Air Force and Department of Defense web-based systems.
  • Send class and workshop reminder emails to customers.
  • Maintain accurate customer sign-in information.
  • Assist with preparation of monthly customer usage and data reports.
  • Maintain an organized and professional front desk and reception area.
  • Perform general clerical and administrative duties as required.
  • Protect sensitive and Privacy Act information.
  • Safeguard government equipment and information.
  • Complete required Air Force training and comply with installation security requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of customer service experience in a professional environment.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with:
    • Microsoft Windows
    • Microsoft Word
    • Microsoft Excel
    • Microsoft PowerPoint
    • Web-based applications and internet browsers
  • Strong data-entry and computer skills.
  • Ability to accurately enter, review, and maintain electronic records.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
  • Professional appearance and ability to work in a business-casual environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working on a military installation or in a Department of Defense environment.
  • Familiarity with military culture, protocol, military family programs, or military support organizations.
  • Previous administrative, receptionist, front desk, or office support experience.
  • Experience scheduling appointments, classes, or training events.
  • Experience working with database or customer-management systems.

Previous Air Force experience is not required. Training will be provided on Air Force-specific systems.

Security & Base Access Requirements

The selected candidate must be able to meet all requirements necessary to obtain access to Hanscom Air Force Base and government computer systems, including:

  • Successfully completing required background screening.
  • Fingerprinting as required.
  • Eligibility to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC).
  • Successfully completing required Information Assurance and security training.
  • Maintaining eligibility for access to government facilities and computer networks throughout employment.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Normal M&FRC operating hours are approximately 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with the workday potentially beginning as early as 7:30 a.m.
